During the launch event of the new iPhones a few weeks ago, one of the points that Apple emphasized a lot was the fact that its smartphones use Ceramic Shield technology, stating that in this way the cell phone would be considerably more resistant. Of course, companies always tend to extol their products, so to prove it, Allstate Protection Plans conducted drop tests to see the iPhone 12 series' improved impact resistance. drops, compared to the iPhone 11 and Galaxy S20 models.
According to Allstate, the flat design can also help mitigate damage when the device is dropped. During drop tests with a distance of almost 2 meters high on the sidewalk, the iPhone 12 did not suffer as much damage as the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 Pro. In the case of the back of the iPhone 12 Pro, the glass cracked in several parts and even broke the wide-angle lens.
iPhone 12 survives a depth of about 10m for more than 20 minutesWhen dropped on its side, the iPhones were left with small scratches, nothing more. However, although the tests show that the iPhone 12 has become more resistant, it doesn't mean that the phone won't suffer considerably bad damage (depending on the person's requirement). The only good part may be that the cell phone continues to work until you take it in to be repaired.
