New Mac mini M1X has images with leaked ports (connections)

Apparently, the Mac mini M1X is expected to arrive by the end of this year 2021 and will feature a generous number of ports (connections). The discovery came from LeaksApplePro, which revealed images showing the device's layout.

According to the records revealed, the new Mac Mini with M1X will have a thinner design, in addition to a material called "plexiglass" that will be present on the top of the structure.

Below is a list of the ports and controls we can expect on the gadget:

    • on/off button
    • magnetic charging port
    • Four Thunderbolt 4 ports
    • Two USB-A ports
    • One RJ45 Ethernet port
    • One HDMI port

The novelty we have in terms of ports in this new version of Mac mini is magnetic charging, in addition to the additional Thunderbolt 4. Unfortunately we do not see the presence of an SD card reader. At least you can buy a dongle for extra connections.

Like future portable Macs, the Mac mini M1X will be limited to 32GB soldered RAM. But considering macOS, it is believed to be enough for most users. It is interesting to remember that the MacBook Pro M1X 14 and 16 inches will already have an SD card reader.

    Launch and availability

The Mac Mini will likely be released during the fourth quarter of 2021, however there is still no information on prices that will be charged. There is a chance that there will be a delay due to the global shortage of chips for many electronics manufacturers.
