One UI 4.1: Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 start getting Galaxy S22 features

One UI 4.1 is finally coming to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 phones. The new version of the operating system developed by Samsung based on Android 12 first debuted on the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, but now the Galaxy models Z Fold and Flip 3 are gaining the same features as the S22 series.

Confirmed by Samsung this morning, One UI 4.1 is now being released for 2021 foldable phones, that is, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. The update will arrive gradually, but it will be made available to everyone, says the southern company. -Korean.

What's new in One UI 4.1?

Upgrading to One UI 4.1 brings several new features. Among them, the main highlights are the camera system, image sharing and automatic photo editing (optional function, of course). In version 4.1 we support "Expert RAW", a camera mode with controls similar to a DSLR camera. However, this feature is currently only available on the Galaxy S21 Ultra and S22 series, but will soon be available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

There was also the improvement of the "Object Eraser" tool with One UI 4.1. Also, there is now automatic photo editing when sharing them with friends. Of course, automatic photo alteration is optional and is not intended to oblige the user to submit to the edits proposed by Samsung. However, the South Korean company says:

"By automatically optimizing your photos - whether it's cropping unwanted sections of screenshots or automatically adjusting the tilt - you can ensure that what you upload is exactly what you intended. Simply select an image to share and an icon will alert you if your device detects possible improvements. Click the icon and watch how the image is automatically adjusted, rotated or cropped before being shared."

Another novelty we had was the expansion of Google Duo Live Sharing. With this feature, it is possible to share content on the screen during calls from the Duo app, a video calling app from Google.

There was also a new keyboard update with One UI 4.1. Now there is the integration between Grammarly and Samsung Keyboard.
