Do you own an iPhone or iPad? If the answer is yes, know that this can be an indicator of your economic strength. A recent study published by the National Agency for Economic Research (NBER) in the United States revealed that owning an iPhone or iPad model indicates that a person may be rich.
The study in question crossed data from 1992, 2004 and 2016, showing people's behavior regarding what is considered "being rich". In 1992, for example, having an automatic washing machine, being able to travel around the country and even using soap to wash clothes in the washing machine was one of the strong indications that a person was rich.

The publication says that those who own an Apple device are more likely to belong to the economic classes that have more money, hold higher positions in companies or even receive higher salaries.
It is worth mentioning that the study does not take into account Apple's latest models, such as the iPhone X, which was launched in the United States for US$ 999. In Spain, the model can cost R$ 7.779. Even with a relatively high value for the majority of the population, the CEO of Apple believes that it is not such an expensive price to pay for the Apple device, especially considering that it is "worth what it costs".
And you, do you agree with the research? Do you really believe that those who own an iPhone are economically richer?
