Samsung will launch a notebook with Exynos processor and AMD graphics

New information suggests that Samsung is working to soon launch a notebook that will use its own chipset and graphics card from AMD, hardware that has not yet been tested by the company in a laptop of the brand itself. The expectation is that the manufacturer has learned from its previous prototypes and presents a device that brings new tools and satisfactory performance.

For now, we still don't know which segment the device will belong to: entry, intermediate or high-end, but it is likely to meet one of the first two.

    Notebook with Exynos

In 2019, Samsung started working with AMD on a GPU for smartphones that use the Exynos chipset, the company's exclusive SoC and that competes with other companies, such as Qualcomm and MediaTek, for example. According to portal ZDNet Korea, the South Korean manufacturer will launch a Windows 10 laptop later this year that will feature an Exynos chipset that integrates an AMD GPU.

Rumors indicate that the device will be launched by the company from the second quarter and should arrive after the company reveals the next generation of the Note line, a follow-up to the brand's smartphones aimed at users looking for increased productivity.

In the past, Samsung has developed notebooks with the Windows 10 operating system based on ARM, but until now it has always relied on Qualcomm to supply the processors for these computers. The chip maker effectively has a monopoly on the market at the moment, but that hasn't reflected the rise of Windows ARM.

App compatibility has improved significantly in recent years, although you can still find some programs that don't work perfectly on an ARM-based device. It is expected that this problem will not be present in the next notebook.
