The update to iOS 13.6 and iPadOS 13.6 introduce a new audio component to Apple News+, featuring stories curated by the company.
Furthermore, Apple CarKey support is now active in iOS 13.6 and also in watchOS 6.2.8, which means users can store digital car keys in the Wallet app on their iPhone and iPads.
The CarKey feature will initially only support select BMW models, but will likely expand to include other automakers in iOS 14 and later.
iOS 13.6 also adds a new "Symptoms" menu to the Health app and implements a number of bug fixes and hidden improvements. A notable and diverse addition is a new toggle that will give users more precise control of software updates for iOS and iPadOS.
Upgrading to tvOS 13.4.8 and macOS 10.15.6 seems to have brought bug fixes.
Apple Watch e watchOS 6.2.8
Now what caught our attention was the watchOS 6.2.8 update which, despite being small, brought with it the activation of the ECG function for the Apple Watch 4 and Apple Watch 5.
The electrocardiogram feature records heartbeats directly on users' Apple Watch. Months ago, Anvisa had already released the ECG monitoring function and also the RNRI (irregular rhythm notification), the latter that checks and identifies variations in users' heartbeats through the Apple Watch.
With the feature, the user can be alerted at certain times that their heartbeat is irregular, for example. The resource has even been responsible for saving lives around the world.
However, Anvisa itself, which released its use, warns that if there is any related problem, always seek medical help for more details about the records on the Apple watch.
