On Tuesday (09), the result of the competition for the broadcasting rights of the Copa Libertadores da América between the years 2019 and 2022 was released. Facebook ended up acquiring one of the game packages offered.
On open TV, Globo retains the rights, however, it lost one match per round. Until this year's edition, Globo had the possibility of showing three matches during the week. Now, however, it will only be two duels.
Who ended up winning was FOX Sports in the main package offered to pay TV, with the right to the first choices of matches and also the transmission of the final live. SporTV acquired the secondary game options, with decision only in VT.
Thus, the first channel will be able to select the odd priorities, that is, first, third, fifth and so on of the clashes. Globosat's broadcaster will have the even choices (Monday, Wednesday, Friday...) of the matches.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that Facebook has broadcast football matches in Spain and also in other locations around the world.
The platform, for example, in Latin America, is responsible for broadcasting UEFA Champions League matches, through the transfer of rights by FOX. In Spain, the competition belongs to Esporte Interativo.
In the previous year, Facebook was responsible for broadcasting some friendlies of the Spanish National Team, with images generated and also passed on by the CBF page.
