Facebook changes policies to clean social media groups

Recently Facebook announced several new rules for the conduct policy of its social network, especially for groups (communities). There are also new rules regarding the dissemination of disinformation through more private sharing paths. These changes will affect those people who helped manage groups and were later banned and also for members who participated in it.

Facebook's new policy aims to prevent people from creating groups similar to communities that have been banned for violating a rule. Previously, this rule only applied to group admins, but now both admins and moderators will not be able to create new groups for a "period of time" after they are banned from the group. According to the rules of the social network, the period will be 30 days and if they try to create another group in this time, the 30 day count will start again.

In addition to preventing moderators and admins from creating a group, members who violate any group rules and are penalized for doing so will need approval for the next 30 days. That is, all posts must be pre-approved by an admin or moderator (if the group does not have the pre-approved post function enabled). This measure can help groups to enforce rules more easily.

One of the most striking things about the new rules is the possibility of being excluded from the group if admins or moderators approve posts that violate community standards. Additionally, Facebook will require groups to have at least one active admin. The social network system will now try to identify when there is a need for a new moderator or administrator in the group if there is not frequent activity by the people who participate in the administration team of the communities.

Health groups will no longer be recommended

Now Facebook will no longer recommend health groups to users, as the developers believe that "it's crucial that people get their health information from trusted sources."
