Facebook no longer allows the sale of live animals

Facebook has now banned the marketing of live animals through its platform. According to the social network, the veto is valid for pets and also for livestock. It is worth mentioning that the same goes for Instagram.

Mark Zuckerberg's social network, as we well know, has several sales groups in which people post a multitude of items to be sold. However, now, with the revision of the privacy policies, Facebook decided to create this ban.

In addition, the ban extends to the ban on the sale of animal parts, such as fur and fur. Facebook took the opportunity to point out that sales of weapons, ammunition, illegal, prescription or recreational drugs, products for an adult audience, alcoholic beverages or those aimed at gambling are still prohibited.

    animals for adoption

The rule, as far as we know, is valid only for the sale of animals, therefore, adoption may end up falling into the fine mesh of the social network algorithm and thus being questioned.

The measure is valid so that there is greater control over the sale of animals, since many are in clandestine places with terrible conditions.

If someone finds such an ad, they can report the post. To do so, simply click on the "..." icon in the upper right corner of the post and look for the "Report Post" option. From there, the user must check the "I believe I shouldn't be on Facebook" option. Then you must answer the question "What's wrong with this photo or post?" ticking the answer "Something else" and moving forward click "This describes the purchase or sale of drugs, weapons or regulated products".
