Microsoft Edge 93 gets Windows 11-based design in Windows 10

Microsoft has started making a new update available for its Microsoft Edge browser. This is Microsoft Edge 93 (stable version), where interesting experimental features have been added such as: new design for menus and scrollbars. The reason for this is the approach of the release of Windows 11, where the company is bringing the design of its browser to what is used in its new operating system.

Among the novelties that arrive with version 93 of Edge, there are several improvements and new features. One of the new features is support for groups of tabs, an implementation similar to Google's Chrome browser.

In addition to the new feature mentioned above, Edge 93 also supports "pick up where you left off" in PDF documents that have been opened in the browser. Another interesting feature that we gained is the possibility to watch videos in "picture-in-picture" mode through the use of the new toolbar that will appear when the user hovers the mouse over a compatible video.

The new tab design has appeared as a new option on the following browser page:

    edge: // settings / looks

To try out the new scrollbars in Edge 93, open the Edge properties tab and add the following code to the target field:

    --enable-features = OverlayScrollbar, OverlayScrollbarWinStyle, OverlayScrollbarWinStyleAnimation

Microsoft Edge will allow you to add text to PDFs within the browser

    Launch and availability

Microsoft Edge 93 (stable) is now available for update. However, it should be made available gradually, in waves. If you haven't received the update yet, just wait for the automatic update.
