    Review: Jaybird X3, the bluetooth headset you need
    Check out our full Jaybird X3 review

    A Logitech last month announced a solution bluetooth for those who want to listen to music at the gym and not worry about headphone wires. When the company announced the Jaybird X3, I confess that I did not have very high expectations with the phone. I had already tested other bluetooth devices that, even from my head to my pants pocket, started to lose connection, that were uncomfortable or that the battery drained very quickly (really).

    A Logitech gave in to the Techlifers um Jaybird X3 for testing and after a month of use, I bring you nothing but good news:

    Positives

    • Great sound quality;
    • Various ear rubbers;
    • Battery lasts 8 hours

    Negative points

    • Phone cord can get in the way from time to time;
    • Microphone is often low on calls.

    Design

    Review: Jaybird X3, the bluetooth headset you need

    O Jaybird X3 is what you expect from a sports bluetooth headset. Light, thin and that practically disappears when you put it in your ear. Made of rubber, the device is available in either color black and white. The details are simple and the phone is earbud.

    Its most noticeable highlight is a bar near the entrance to the right ear that has Volume and On/Off/Pause buttons. With four different rubbers to fit the earphone, three rods to hold it inside the ear and a clip to fasten it to clothes or the wires behind the neck, the device stands out for being simple.

    A Logitech got it right by not making the phone too flashy, as it was made for running. And the coolest thing is that although it has its own case to be placed, you'll probably use it to leave all these phone customization objects without losing it.

    These rubbers use the same material found in all other models and range from small, medium and large sizes. It is worth mentioning another rubber that is softer and, in my opinion, the most comfortable.

    In terms of colors, while the black model is more “sober” and manages to hide more easily, the white one has a stylish “feel”, with small details in gold. The hard part will be choosing the preferred model.

    Usability

    Review: Jaybird X3, the bluetooth headset you need

    Before talking about the sound quality, the main point for me when choosing a bluetooth headset is the how comfortable is he – even more so if it promises to be a racing headset.

    Unlike Apple, which only gives you one option (see AirPods or EarPods), Logitech took great care to make sure the company's headphones fit in any ear in any pattern (do Dumbo à Zelda).

    Although the first half hour of testing with the headset is a pain, because you have to see which one fits right in your ear, it also has a stem that fits into one of the loops of your ear to ensure a firm grip on the headset. Once you find your pattern, then the device is very good.

    I confess that I'm not into running, but even with sudden movements, a light run or a walk in the park, in addition to the phone not letting go of your ear, it doesn't hurt either.

    If you are experiencing some discomfort or noticing that one of the earbuds is falling out of your ear, you need to go back to step 1 and choose the right rubber for you. One tip is to use clip that comes with the phone to either tie his thread or stick it to your shirt, it helps a lot.

    O Jaybird X3 da Logitech works so much with Crab as with the Google Now. Just hold the middle button for a while until you hear the assistant.

    When answering a call, although the audio quality is satisfactory, it is not always that people hear you perfectly. sometimes I had to disconnect the phone to talk to someone on the other end of the line, because my voice was too low.

    What made me strange is that to change the track or go back a song, you have to hold the button further to the right or further to the left, it's no use simply giving the famous “double tap” in the middle.

    Finally, it is worth noting that the device does not have internal storage, so it only pairs with your smartphone, smartwatch, tablet, etc. to play music.

    Aplicativo do Jaybird

    O Jaybird account with the application Jaybird MySound. The app allows you to configure some more settings on the device in terms of sound, but the highlight goes to the possibility of pair two devices to listen to the same song (as long as there are two Jaybirds X3).

    Thanks to bluetooth 4.1 technology, it is possible, via the app, to connect your phone and that of your gym partner on the same smartphone so that you can listen to music together (but still apart!) while exercising or walking in the park. This is a very nice solution so that only one person needs to have their cell phone.

    Within the app it is also possible improve audio quality for your style of music. Whether it's “More Bass Volume”, “Running”, “Universal”, each of these settings leaves the music with the punch you need to get more exercise or enjoy your favorite sound.

    The cool thing about the app is that anyone can create music “presets” and share with the Jaybird community. I personally prefer choosing to making my own and people are very serious about creating music settings that really enhance their audio experience. My favorites are “Rock HD” to listen to The Killers and “Hi Res” to make the most of Milo Greene's arrangement and voice set.

    O MySound mostra playlists personalizadas do Spotify and also shows the bateria do Jaybird X3. In it, you can delete some presets that have already been saved and have only your favorite styles in your account.

    Sound quality

    The device also puts on a show when we talk about audio quality. While it doesn't have external noise canceling, as it's in-ear, the Jaybird already does a good job on its own.

    Even without any changes by the application, the sound is clear and brings you the experience you expect from a headphone. Anyway, I recommend that you download the app and choose some of the pre-set suggestions to enjoy the headset even more.

    The Jaybird doesn't saturate the bass like some headphones usually do, which makes for a well-balanced listening experience from good old-fashioned pop to an Alok of life.

    Battery

    Review: Jaybird X3, the bluetooth headset you need

    A battery lasts eight hours of direct playback - same. For two weeks I only used the phone on the bus ride to work. In addition to having lasted the whole week (about an hour to go), it still lasted the weekend for casual use.

    With just 15 minute charge, he wins uone hour of autonomy. In less than two hours, you have the device ready for another eight hours.

    Its charging is done by induction. Instead of being a standard USB socket, it has a special charger (a little short) to fit into the base where the volume buttons are and turn on the device. His tip, of course, is USB. Charger “head” is not included.

    Compared to other models, Apple's AirPods only last for four hours on a single charge and Samsung's Gear IconX lasts for two hours and look at that.

    Price and final considerations

    Review: Jaybird X3, the bluetooth headset you need

    O Jaybird X3 da Logitech has a price suggested R$799, but on iPlace you can find it for R$719. In addition to the already presented specifications of the device, it wouldn't be a running headset if it didn't have water and sweat resistance. See: resistance. I don't recommend throwing it in a glass of water, but it's okay to run your half marathon using the headphones, the sweat won't hurt him.

    The earphones have 'holes' so that the air can reach your ear and the sweat can run off. Although it's a lot of money for a headset, the Jaybird is not the most expensive solution on the market. For all its benefits, it's a price worth investing in, even more so if you're tired of banging your headphones while running on the treadmill.
