    Compact design

The big box can be a little deceiving, but the HP Laser Neverstop 1200W is a compact, lightweight printer that fits well in offices with a minimalist design. Thanks to its medium size, the user can place the printer in any corner of the house or office without taking up too much space.

All crafted in rigid plastic, the colors of the Neverstop 1200W are pleasant, with white and gray predominating, which consequently can combine well with your work environment.

    Its design matches minimalist environments

Regarding the external components, the machine has the scanner to scan and copy documents in the upper area and, although the lid “dances” a little when opening, apparently there is no risk of breaking. In short, the opening is smooth, but it doesn't stay open on its own like in more sophisticated equipment, which is understandable by the proposal, most likely, the user won't even miss it.

On the left are the LCD display (which is not color) and the configuration buttons for the HP Laser Neverstop 1200W. Still focusing on minimalism, the company placed few quick settings buttons. They are: On/Off (+ ready light), Wireless connection, Wi-Fi Direct, Cancel button, Resume, Start Copy, Copy ID and arrows (up and down). At the top next to the display, the user will find other lights indicating: Paper light, attention light, image drum and lid open light.

On the front area of the printer there is an indicator that allows you to view the toner level. You will be able to see two levels classified as “+1” and “+2”, where “+1” = 2.500 impressions available and “+2” = 2.500 more impressions, thus totaling 5.000 impressions. Still, that doesn't mean you have to fill both levels with toner. It is feasible to put only 2.500 and the printer will let you know when it is time to fill it again.

Toner loading is a highlight of the HP Laser Neverstop 1200W, which we will talk about later.

In the region where we place the paper, the HP sends in the kit a rectangular piece, which initially seems useless and even strange. But that's where you're wrong. If you've worked in an office, you're well aware that bond paper picks up dust very easily. This support is sent for exactly this reason, to prevent the sheet from being damaged during the days/hours that it sits there in the printer without use.

Finally, on the sides, the device has an air outlet and behind are the power and USB type B inputs.

    Efficient and hassle-free installation

Of the models that we have already tested here, the HP Laser Neverstop 1200W is one of the printers with the best and fastest installation. You can connect it to the notebook or desktop in a few seconds and send it to print, without bottlenecks and without any external program to do so.

To be honest, you won't even need a computer. through the app HP Smart, available free of charge for Android na Play Store e iPhone (iOS)At App Store, you can send any document for printing via Wi-Fi.

Print only in black and white

Images end up losing quality (Image: Darlan Helder / Techlifers)

First, it is important to make it clear that the HP Laser Neverstop 1200W is an ideal printer for textual content. This means that the image printing is less than expected for a machine of almost R$ 2 thousand. Even with laser printing, it is not possible to have such a satisfactory result with photographs, for example.

Therefore, for everyday life, the device of HP will be most useful for printing drafts and documents. It has a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and comes ready to print five thousand pages when you buy it.

When it comes to print speed, the HP reports that the first page takes 7,6 seconds to come out, while a conventional copy takes about 10,9 seconds. In our evaluation, we obtained the following numbers: 8 seconds to exit the first print page, 10 seconds for the output of 10 pages e 11 seconds for outputting a regular copy.

The input tray can hold up to 150 sheets, while the output tray can hold up to 100. For this review, we used only a sheet of bond paper (A4), but the HP explains that to Neverstop 1200W can work with these other types of paper: tracing paper, heavyweight paper, envelope, label and others. In addition, it can print double-sided.

      Result obtained (scanned)

If you want something colorful with the HP Laser Neverstop 1200W, just scanning. And generally speaking, the printer manages to do this simply and very efficiently. In our tests, we had satisfactory results, with the machine being true to the colors of the scanned documents.

There are two ways to scan files on the Neverstop 1200W: directly on the printer (in the copy part) or through the app HP Smart. The second option turns out to be interesting because it eliminates the need to download other applications and even use the printer.

The app even lets you make edits to the file, such as adjusting the image, adding filters, cropping the image, and adding text. Regarding sharing, it is possible to edit the format (JPEG, PDF, PNG and TIF) before saving and setting the size (Actual, Large, Medium and Small), in addition to having it printed.

The toner refill system HP Laser Neverstop 1200W It's really innovative, as it eliminates the need to open the entire printer, remove components and even get dirty with dust (as in other models). THE HP developed a tube that looks like a giant injection tube, where you press and inject the toner into the machine.

This process is very easy as the charging port is located on the top of the equipment. You just need to lift the copy area, rotate the protective cover and connect the tube/toner to the device.

For our review, the HP did not send the toner kit as the printer came 100% charged. Also, even when full, the machine refuses to add more toner. We have verified that the complete filling can be done in less than thirty seconds.

As mentioned above, to Neverstop 1200W can receive up to two toners that together allow printing of 5.000 pages. The great highlight, in addition to the amount of printing, is the price of the toner, which can be found for sale between R$ 53 a R$ 59. Still, the Techlifers managed to find for just R$ 34,39 in national e-commerces.

    Connectivity: HP Smart app

The great highlight of Laser Neverstop 1200W is your performance with the application HP Smart, which facilitates daily use in addition to bringing comfort. In a few minutes, the user connects the printer to the application and, from this connection, it is possible to send any document for printing without having to turn on the notebook or desktop, nor using cables.
