Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide

The new chapter in the most successful franchise in Ubisoft puts players in the middle of the conflict between Athens and Sparta in Ancient Greece, even before the Assassins and Templars begin their millennia-old clash. That's why we've prepared a complete guide for those looking for tips and the trophies/achievements of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Here is the warning that this guide contains spoilers information about the game, so read at your own risk.

    Assassin's Creed Odyssey: general data

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
    Ready to conquer Greece?
    • Estimated Difficulty of Trophies: Low
    • Offline trophies: 51
    • Online trophies: 0
    • Approximate time to platinum/100%: 60-70 horas

    • Number of missable trophies: 1 (see below)
    • Trophies with glitches: 6 (see below)

Most efficient way to get trophies/achievements

    Step one: Finish the story

enjoy Assassin's Creed Odyssey as you see fit, in whatever difficulty you prefer. Fortunately, there are no difficulty-related trophies. It doesn't matter if you choose to play with Alexios ou Kassandra, as this does not affect any romances or trophies (only changes some dialogue and scenes).

Your choices also don't impact trophies. Choose the dialogues you want in main and side quests, they can affect the end of the game, but it doesn't affect the trophies.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Your character's history is full of blood and tears.

Also, it doesn't matter if you choose the “Guided Mode” or “Exploration Mode” at the beginning of the game, but the former is recommended as it is easier and allows you to finish the game faster. You can switch between modes at any time, but keep in mind that “Explore Mode” does not provide a clear marker most of the time.

The story takes 40 to 50 hours to complete, depending on how much time you spend doing side quests and whether you're already working on other trophy-related tasks. You can do a little bit of everything while playing the story.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Even with so many battles, be sure to appreciate the beauty of the game.

The reason the story takes so long is that there are huge level differences between the main quests. In this way, the player is forced to take on other tasks to get XP. Only some late game things (bosses, high level cultists, arena) cannot be completed until the end. After the story, you are free to continue working on what you left behind.

Keep an eye out for the "Aphrodite's Embrace" trophy (sleep with a character) as it is technically "missable", but there are plenty of opportunities for that. It is also recommended to accept all contracts on all message boards you come across. These will auto-complete as you progress through the game naturally, providing lots of XP and counting towards the Misthios in Training trophy.

Second step: Complete all quests related to trophies/achievements

There are 5 quest lines related to trophies/achievements: Master of the Hunt; “Everyone wins!”; Trust me, I'm a doctor; A pirate's life for me; In search of gold.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
With dense stories, each mission in the game is a show in itself.

Check each of them below in the game's trophies/achievements list to locate their starting points. You can make them during the story if your character is level enough.

Third step: Visit all sub-regions and complete all underwater locations

For the “Hermes' Companion” trophy/achievement you must clear the gray fog from the map and step on each small island (even the tiny ones that don't have gray fog and are part of island groups).

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
    The company is gigantic!

By doing this, you can now work on the 42 underwater locations to save travel time. The map is really huge and it will take a few hours to reveal everything. For underwater locations, always use your eagle and to reveal submerged objects. This makes them easy to find.

Step Four: Finish the Arena and become the first mercenary

The arena is found on Pephka, the island in the south east of the map. You should become champion by defeating all enemies, including the level 50 fighter. At level 46 you have decent chances, but below that you die very quickly.

To become the first mercenary, you must track down and kill mercenaries who have a higher level than you. If you kill the low-ranking ones, it won't do any good. Whenever you kill a high-ranking mercenary, you level up in the mercenary hierarchy.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Make sure you use your best weapons and armor in Arena combat.

When you follow a mercenary in the menu, he places the location marker on the map. Some are also from the arena, which is why this activity relates to Arena fights.

Fifth step: Discover Atlantis and defeat the four bosses

If you haven't already, head over to the side quest "A Family Legacy" (Island of Thera) as this takes you to Atlantis. This quest is unlocked after the Main Story Quest “United Front” in Sequence 7. As part of the Atlantis questline, you must defeat the 4 main Bosses: Minotaur, Cyclops, Sphinx, Medusa.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
    AG?ecia hides many secrets…

See the respective trophies of these monsters. Medusa is at level 50, but you should be able to kill her when you're at level 46. All bosses are tied to long questlines that require a high level, so check the trophy guide for starting points .

    Sixth step: Defeat all cultists

Cultists are the hostile faction in the game. In the Cultists menu you can click on them and show them how to reveal their location. Some are from side quests, and for others you can buy clues or find them in the world, and still others are tied to the story.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Whether inside villages or large cities, cultists are everywhere.

Once you have the clue, you can track the Cultists on the map and kill them. Because some are tied to the final quest(s), you have to finish the main story first.

    Seventh step: Reach level 50

By now you should be very close to level 50. If you haven't used the XP boosters, you're probably at level 47 and need to improve the last few levels. Play side quests until there's nothing left and keep accumulating territory conquests or fight in Pephka's Arena.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Reaching level 50 isn't easy, but it isn't impossible either.

Combine this with message board contracts to get quick XP. After Level 45, Pephka's Arena is the fastest way to get more XP. After defeating all 5 champions, new enemies all appear at level 50. You get 70.000 XP for every level 50 fight in the Arena and they only take 2 minutes.

    Eighth step: Fully upgrade Adrestia

You probably have some ship upgrades you need to perform. You must accumulate resources by sinking other ships, hunting animals and finding old tablets. Tablets are found exclusively in the Ruins and sold by some blacksmiths (this is rare).

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Take good care of your boat and it will take good care of you.

Complete all ruin locations (hidden behind the question marks on the map) and if you need more tablets, go to a blacksmith and try to buy them. Don't worry as there are far more tablets in the game than you need to fully upgrade the ship.

Below is the map with all 42 underwater locations in Greece. Usually they are always the question marks near the coast and are temples or shipwrecks that you need to investigate. Remember to use your eagle to reveal all the chests hidden in the place, as this makes the task of completing all the objectives much easier.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Each underwater location holds a secret.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideLeave your Brand: Make your first notch.

You unlock slots automatically as you level up and find new legendary weapons/armor. Go to any blacksmith and choose the “Engraving” option. Choose a weapon or piece of armor you want to carve and choose the desired upgrade.

Notches increase certain types of damage or resistance. Additionally, they allow you to specialize in stealth, ranged, or melee combat at the expense of some materials. These can be purchased from blacksmiths directly, or you can find them by completing map locations, looting ships at sea, or finding them in the open world.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideYou work for me now: Recruit and assign a legendary NPC (non-playable character) to your boat.

Legendary NPCs are usually the Captains / Polemarchs into Enemy Strongholds. Legendary enemies can often be encountered at Fort Tiryns in the Argolis region. You can use your eagle to see if an enemy is legendary. In the upper right corner it will show the rarity of the NPC and the ones you want are golden in color.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Forts and great temples have legendary enemies.

Just go to a fort and scan everyone before attacking. To recruit the NPCs you must take them down or use the "Sparta Kick" skill as the final blow or fight with bare fists. You can use weapons to weaken the enemy, only the final blow must be empty handed.

When the enemy is knocked out, stand on them and choose the “Recruit” option. You cannot do this while in combat. If other enemies are still alive, kill them, then you can recruit the KO'd enemies. Finally, open the ship menu, click on Special Lieutenants and hire the NPC.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideBrillant: Acquire and equip your first legendary item.

You automatically get your first legendary (golden) item at the end of Sequence 2. It's a Legendary Sword called “Sword of Nikolaos”. Equip it in your inventory and the trophy will unlock.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideI'm the Legend: Equip 1 Legendary Melee Weapon and 5 Legendary Armor Pieces.

Legendary Armor/Weapons are colored gold in the inventory. The main way to get them is by killing cultists. There are 42 Cultists and each of them has a piece of Legendary equipment. Some parts are also story rewards, side quests and found randomly on mercenaries and other enemies.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
You will get several legendary sets throughout the game.

You can't sell or dismantle legendary gear, so eventually you'll have to use one. A legendary weapon is given to you at the end of Sequence 2. Then continue killing Cultists until you have one piece of armor for each inventory slot (Head, Arms, Torso, Waist, Feet).

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideDidn't have fun?: Become the champion of the Arena.

You must defeat all 5 enemies in the arena. The latter is a level 50 combatant, but you can beat him at level 45 with good gear. At level 50, he is quite easy to defeat.

Note that just beating the level 50 champion is not enough. You must defeat all 5 enemies. See below for the location of the Arena in the Pephka region, the big island in the lower right corner of the map.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideDemigod: Reach level 50.

The main way to level up is by doing side quests, achievements, arena fights, and contracts/rewards on the message board. Upon completing the story, you will likely end up between level 37 and 40. Afterwards, you need to continue doing side quests, which should bring you to level 45.

In the last five levels, it is best to participate in arena games in Pephka's Arena. After defeating all 5 champions, new level 50 champions will spawn (simply talk to the arena manager again). They give 70.000XP per match and it only takes 2 minutes.

If you still don't have a high enough level for the Arena, try the conquest battles (when you've discovered the map, there's usually one or two going on somewhere). In total, this will take about 50 hours (about 1 hour per level).

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Even at level 50 enemies can still be a challenge for you.

Fortunately, this trophy goes hand in hand with other tasks related to other trophies. Message boards always have many contracts that can be accepted simultaneously. These are small gameplay tasks that will be completed automatically as you play (e.g. sinking five pirate ships). These tasks give little XP, but count towards other trophies/achievements.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guidePower of the Gods: Acquire a Level 3 active skill.

First you need to upgrade your spear to level 5 by killing cultists and collecting their artifact fragments. Level 3 skills can only be acquired when your spear is at level 5. After that, go to the Ancient Forge on the island of Andros and upgrade your spear. Just keep an eye out for the story quest “Upgrade your spear”.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideLegacy Restored: Upgrade your spear to Level 6.

For that you need to kill all the cultists and collect all their artifact fragments. Then just go to the Ancient Forge on the island of Andros and upgrade your spear. By doing so, you will have completed the story quest “Upgrade your spear”.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
You can upgrade your spear at the Hephaestus Forge on Andros.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideTop of the food chain: Become the number one Mercenary.

To check your level as a mercenary, go to the “Mercenaries” menu. You can improve your level by killing mercenaries who are higher levels than you. However, you only move up one position in the rankings by doing this. That way, it's no use killing a rank 2 mercenary if you're at 9, for example, as you'll only go up one level.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
I am the king of the world!

To locate mercenaries, select one from the “Mercenaries” menu and select the “Follow” option. That way, an icon will be marked on the map where the mercenary is, making it easy to get to where he is. Repeat this process until you defeat the top ranked mercenary and take his place!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideThe Cult Unmasked: Defeat all Cosmos cultists.

There are 42 cultists in the game (looks like the developers like "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", doesn't it?). They are the enemy faction of the game (just like the templars in the other titles). In the “Cultists” menu you can select one of them and get more information on how to find out their location.

They are usually linked to side quests and the main story. The best strategy for Assassin's Creed Odissey is to finish the story first, then complete what remains. That's because many of the cultists only appear in story missions and there is literally no way to kill them all before the story ends.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Locating and defeating all the cultists is no simple task.

When you select a cultist from the menu, you will see clues on how to reveal their identity and location. Therefore, after completing the story you must follow the clues to reveal the remaining cultists. After all cultists in a branch are defeated, the center cultist will be revealed. Once all the core cultists are killed, the master cultist “The Phantom of the Cosmos” will be revealed.

All cultists have legendary gear and artifact shards that you can collect to upgrade your spear.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideContemptuous look: Retrieve the Cyclops eye from a goat in Kefalonia.

First, you need to finish story sequence 1. At the end of this sequence you will find a boss called “Cyclops”, in which in a hilarious scene, your character sticks the Cyclops eye in the tail of a goat! However, you can find this eye later.

For that, return to Kefalonia after finishing sequence 1 and kill some goats at random. After you kill about 10-20 goats, the eye should appear, so be sure to collect the goat's remains. If you still can't find the eye, try using fast travel somewhere on the island, as the goats will spawn again, increasing your chances.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideHermes Companion: Discover all the sub-regions of Greece.

This trophy/achievement requires the player to remove all gray fog from the map of Greece and visit each sub-district of each region, including unnamed small islands and all water. Large regions are divided into multiple small districts that have gray fog on the map.

Upon entering any unmapped region, the gray fog will disappear and the location points (like question marks) will become available. You also need to reveal the entire ocean map (except a small patch in the northwest that is outside the playable area).

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Remember to visit even the small islands on the map.

What makes this one of the trickiest trophies/achievements in the game is that there are many small islands on the map. You need to step on each of them. Even if they aren't covered in gray fog or are part of a group of islands, you'll still need to step on each one. For example, there is a small island south of Samos that you would never need to go to, as it is not in the gray fog, but it still needs to be visited.

Be very thorough on your trip through Greece and make sure you actually set foot on each island, no matter how small. You'll get some XP when visiting these locations so that's how you'll know they've been counted. Don't forget that the four mystery locations referring to the four main bosses do not count.

To avoid confusion, remember that you don't need to reveal every question mark on the map, just step on each island and visit each sub-region!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Each region hides beauties and dangers!

Glitch warning: Some players are having problems with this trophy as some regions are not counting correctly when they are visited. The good news is that this trophy/achievement is obtainable anyway and will appear sooner or later. For example, there are cases of players who left the game and suddenly the trophy/achievement appeared.

If you still have problems with this trophy and you're absolutely sure you've visited all sub-regions, try uninstalling and installing the game again.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideIn the image of Perseus: Defeat Medusa.

For that you must complete the side quests that start with the quest “Romance in the stone garden”, on the island of Lesbos. Medusa is the final boss of this questline, found in the Petrified Temple on Lesbos.

All these missions take place on the island of Lesbos and Keos, high-level places in the game. Medusa is a level 50 enemy, so you need to be at least level 46 to have any chance of defeating her. The video below shows what combat with this mythological monster is like:

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideLabi(laughing) of the Minotaur: Defeat the Minotaur.

To get to the Minotaur's labyrinth you need to complete the side quests that start with the quest "Myths and Minotaurs", located on the island of Messara, in the south of the map. The Minotaur is the final boss of these quests, found in the Labyrinth of Lost Souls.

It's easy to get lost in the maze, so watch your step! The video below shows the combat with this mythological creature and the best strategy to defeat it:

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideWith an eye on the reward: Defeat Cyclops.

To find the Cyclops you need to complete the questline that starts with "A God Among Men", located on the island of Kythera. At the end of this questline, you'll find Cyclops in a cave on the Forgotten Isle. You have no way to access this cave outside of missions.

Below you can see a video showing how the fight against this one-eyed mythological monster is like:

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideSphinx Riddle: Surpass the Sphinx's intelligence.

To locate the dreaded Sphinx, you need to complete the questline that starts with “Enigma of the Sphinx” in the Boeotia region. You will receive this quest after finding Atlantis and talking to Pythagoras. Unlike the other main bosses in the game, the Sphinx does not involve combat, but rather a series of three riddles that you must answer correctly.

The hard part of the Sphinx challenge is that the questions are different for each player, being randomly selected from a series of 12 riddles. The correct answers can be: stars, trees, fish, hummingbird, sun, memory, moon, mountain, spider, time, death and river.

If you get any of the answers wrong you will be killed and will have to answer a series of different questions. It is very important that you remember your answers and the order in which they were said, as you will have to press 3 stone buttons with their corresponding answers. If you press the wrong one, you will die and have to start all over again!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideLord of the Seas: Fully upgrade Adsteia.

The Adsteia is your boat. It has the following categories that can be improved:

    • Torrent of Arrows (4 levels)
    • Spear Throwing (4 levels)
    • Fire braziers (4 levels)
    • Arrows (4 levels)
    • Ram (6 levels)
    • Spears (4 levels)
    • Hull (6 levels)
    • Paddle speed (4 levels)
    • Crew Armor (3 levels)

Improvements need resources. Core materials like Olivewood Iron Metal can be obtained by collecting the loot from sunken ships. Soft leather you can get from animals you hunt. The quickest way to obtain such items is by scrapping items you don't need.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Watch out for wood and tablets as these are the hardest resources to obtain.

Old tablets, on the other hand, are the most difficult to obtain. They can be found in ruins and are also sold by some Blacksmiths (but very rarely). The best strategy to get the tablets is to reveal the entire map and go to the ruins to get them. It is not necessary for you to complete all the ruins as each one earns you 4 tablets and in the end you will have more than what you need to improve Adrestia.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideThe Argonauts: Fill the Adrastea with Legendary Lieutenants.

This trophy/achievement prompts the player to equip the Adrastea with 4 Legendary Lieutenants from the “Ship” option in the menu. The first thing you should do is upgrade the ship's hull to level 4, as each upgrade unlocks a Lieutenant slot. If you have doubts about the improvements, check the “Lord of the Seas” trophy.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Legendary lieutenants bring a lot of benefits to your ship.

As we mentioned before, legendary (golden) NPCs are usually enemy Captains/Polemarchs found in Strongholds in Greece so go to those locations, isolate him in combat and knock him out in order to recruit him. Be very careful not to kill the NPC, so a tip is to use only your fists to fight this enemy.

The good news is that depending on what decisions you make throughout the story, you will have at least 2 Legendary Lieutenants available for your ship (Stentor and Nikolaos). Plus, you can redeem Assassin's Creed Syndicate's Evie Frye as a Legendary Lieutenant via the Ubisoft Club, completely for free!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideHunting Master: Complete the Daughters of Artemis questline.

The Daughters of Artemis questline begins with the quest “The Daughters of Artemis” in the Phokis region, in the “Holy Lands of Apollo” subregion. Just talk to Daphnae and she'll give you some legendary animal hunting quests.

These animals are spread across different regions of Greece, so it is recommended to leave this trophy/achievement when you have revealed the entire map, as it will make your search for the animals easier. To know if a location is a legendary animal, just see if the question mark icon is golden and glowing.

Combat is intense. It is highly recommended to be above level 40 to try to fight a creature. Choose to use different types of arrow as melee attacks do more damage, but it's a riskier strategy as animals tend to knock you down.

After completing the hunts, there is one last quest called “Artemis's Order” in Keos that you need to complete to unlock the trophy/achievement. If you choose to kill Daphnae in combat, the good news is that your Amazons, the "Daughters of Artemis", will not attack you and will obey your orders from now on in the game.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide“Everyone wins!”: Complete Markos' questline.

The series of missions involving Markos start with the mission “A business opportunity” on the island of Kos. It all starts when you find Markos trapped in a cage in an enemy fort, where the quest marker is located.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Markos can be annoying at times, but he's a great friend.

Once you free Markos and carry him to your house, just keep talking to him and doing his quests to complete the sequence and get the trophy/achievement.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideTrust me, I'm a Doctor: Complete the Hippocrates questline.

The Doctor's Quest Hippocrates starts with the quest “Hunting party” in the region of Boeotia. It is possible to start it from Sequence 7 when the story takes the player to that region.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
How about helping the father of Modern Medicine?

If the quest is not available, try to get as close to the center of the region as possible to make it accessible. It is the first quest in a series of four simple quests that you need to complete to get the trophy/achievement.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideA pirate's life for me: Complete Xenia's questline.

The pirate quest series Xenia begins on Keos at the beginning of Sequence 7 with the side quest “Flour of a Kind”. Be aware that you will meet Xenia in Sequence 5, but her questline only opens in Sequence 7.

In all of Xenia's quests, she will give you several treasure maps but only one of them is correct. The process works as follows: you check all the maps in your inventory with the game map, going to the locations in search of treasure.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Xenia's treasures are scattered throughout Greece.

It may seem like a tedious task, but by investigating the incorrect locations you will already be completing the underwater locations to get the "Spawn of Poseidon" trophy/achievement.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideIn search of gold: Complete the Olympic quest chain.

The Olympic questline automatically starts during Sequence 7, after the main story quest “Kings of Sparta”. You can select it from the menu, so there's no way to miss it. It basically consists of you taking the champion to the Olympics but ending up participating in the competitions yourself.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
    Did you leave the Olympics?

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideAegean Scourge: Sink the first Epic Ship.

Epic ships have a golden icon with a crown on them. You'll find them randomly when sailing the seas, so if you pay attention to their icons it's easy to tell them apart from the rest.

They are rarer than common ships but during your travels you will surely come across one of them. This type of vessel is usually more aggressive and resistant to your attacks, so be careful. To get the trophy/achievement, just disable the ship and hit it again to sink it.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideBlood sport:  Defeat a mercenary in the Arena.

The Arena is located in the Pephka region. For this trophy/achievement, just talk to the Arena host and check if there are any mercenaries among the available opponents, as they will not always be in the Arena.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Your horse gets this special skin when you become the champion of the Arena!

If no mercenaries are available for combat in the Arena, please try to come back later. The difference from combats with mercenaries is that you will face him directly, without having to go through the four waves of enemies before facing the main combatant, so the fights are very short.

The Daughters of Artemis questline is one of the sequels that will reward you with a legendary armor set, but there are others throughout the main story that will also reward you with such a set. Once you have it, just equip it to get the trophy/achievement.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
With legendary armor you will be as powerful as Poseidon!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideIn Aphrodite's arms: Spend the night with another character.

In some dialogues in the main and side quests you can choose speech options with a heart icon. Always choose these, as they will lead you to romances with NPCs. It doesn't matter if you're playing with Alexios or Kassandra, love is free!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Love and romance is not lacking in this game.

There are several characters that you will meet throughout the game that you can relate to and, if you maintain the correct dialogue, you can spend the night with them, so this trophy/achievement is easy to obtain!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideOne head less…: Defeat an entire branch of Cosmo cultists.

Check out the trophy "The Cult Unmasked".

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideLegacy: Discover Atlantis and speak with Pythagoras.

To find the lost city of Atlantis you need to complete the quest "A Family Legacy". This quest will automatically spawn after completing the “United Front” quest in Sequel 7, so there is no way to miss this trophy/achievement.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Finding Atlantis will answer some questions and create many more.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideMaximum speed: Split a ship in half.

There are two ways to split a ship in half. First, you can leave the ship low on energy after attacking it with spears and arrows and increase your speed to hit it squarely in the middle, splitting it. Another way is to simply charge directly at him, without attacking him first. However, this last method only works if your ram is at maximum level.

Maritime clashes occur all the time when you are sailing.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideI have the power: Make an Overwhelm attack with each weapon type.

First you need to have the skills "Overwhelming Attacks" and "Overwhelming Attack with Bow". You only need to have one point in each of these skills, and once you have them, you can just perform an overwhelming attack with all types of weapons available in the game (including bow and arrow).

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideWar Master: Kill the leader of any low-resource region other than Megaris.

For this trophy you need to lower the power level of a region (the purple bar that appears on the lower right side of the screen when you enter a region) to zero and only then kill the leader of that region. If you kill the leader without the bar being empty, it will not count towards the trophy/achievement.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
You can get all kinds of weapons from blacksmiths or enemies.

There are several ways to lower a region's power level without killing the leader: kill soldiers, burn supplies, and steal the nation's treasure (usually hidden in forts).

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideMisthios in training: Complete 20 bounties, war contracts, or naval missions from message boards.

There are message boards in every town in every region and they all contain some random activities and quests.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Keep an eye out for city message boards.

The simplest way to get this trophy/achievement is to accept all the missions on a board, as many of them you will end up completing automatically. Contracts are usually activities like “sink 5 pirate ships” or “loot 5 chests of resources”, that is, activities that you complete while playing.

If you have any doubts about contracts, you can consult them in the “Missions” menu and mark them on the map to finish them faster.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideFrom island to island: Complete 20 quests on the islands of Pefka, Obsidian and Abantis.

For this trophy/achievement you need to complete 20 side quests (message board quests and contracts do not count) in the following regions:

    • Pefka: The right side of the island of Messara, in the lower right corner of the map
    • Obsidian Islands: Islands of Hydrea and Melos
    • Abantis Islands: Islands of Euboea and Skyros.

For the Obisidian Islands, it is recommended to do all Hydrea side quests first, as once you complete Melos quests, Hydrea quests will become unavailable. If you do the Hydrea quests first you will end up with a total of 23 side quests completed, so you can skip some at the end if you want.

Don't forget about the arena quest in Pefka to become the champion as it counts as a side quest for this trophy/achievement but does not have a quest icon when viewed on the map.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideInfamous: Raise the reward for you to the maximum level.

Your reward is displayed on a gauge on the lower right with 5 helms representing levels. Level 5 is the highest level you need to get this trophy/achievement. For that, you just create confusion in a region, fighting with several enemies or even killing common citizens.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Upon becoming “Infamous”, your character will have no rest.

One of the easiest ways to level up your bounty is to raid forts and kill as many enemies as you can. Just be aware that the higher your bounty level, the more mercenaries will come after you.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideHero Under contract: Win your first land conquest in any region except Megaris in Heroic Journey.

Conquest battles can be started after you lower a region's power to the "vulnerable" level (burning supplies, killing soldiers, killing the region's leader, etc). The earliest opportunity you have in the game is in Sequence 3, as Megaris does not count towards this trophy.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Conquest battles are the most intense battles in the game.

In conquest battles you can choose to fight either for Athens or Sparta, but be aware that if you decide to fight for the faction that is trying to dominate the region, the combat will be more difficult, but you will receive better rewards.

During battles, as much as the battlefield looks like a mess of swords and blood, focus on killing enemy army captains (with golden icons over them). As you kill soldiers, captains will appear. Also, avoid using arrows to attack, as enemies will appear from all sides, so focus on dodging and blocking attacks.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideThe Wrath of the Amazons: Depart a ship with an all-female crew.

This trophy is very similar to “Scourge of the Aegean”, but the difference is that you need to split an enemy ship in half with an all-female crew. There are several ways you can get this type of crew for your ship:

    • Get “The Assassins (Female)” via Ubisoft Club for free (just have a Uplay account to claim the in-game reward)
    • Find “Bandits (Female)” at an underwater location called “Datis Sunken Wreck”, southwest of the island of Delos.
    • Complete the Olympic quest chain
    • Complete the "Daughters of Artemis" questline

Once you have any of the female crew types, just go to the “Ship” menu and change your crew type and go on the attack at sea!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guideMidas touch: Carve a legendary effect into a legendary item.

Whenever you obtain a new legendary weapon (golden in color) you also unlock its respective notch for use on other legendary weapons. If you have at least two legendary weapons, go to a Blacksmith and carve one weapon with the other's bonus attributes.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Check out the game's tips and tricks guide
Carving your gear is the best way to gain an edge in combat.

This also works with armor but not all notches are compatible between pieces of armor so you have more options with weapons. Notches cost quite a bit of money and resources. From the Blacksmith's menu choose Slots, scroll until you find the Legendary Slots and place one of them on a Legendary Weapon (or Armor).
