Facebook launches more efficient tools for group admins

Recently Facebook announced more tools to help the administrators of their groups on their social network. The purpose of the features is to gain better control of communities and prevent conversations from ending up in meaningless discussions. Among the novelties, one of the most interesting is the alert of potentially harmful conversations in the group, where machine learning is used to detect when there is any disagreement between members. Another attractive feature is to slow down an intense conversation (almost to the level of a chat in an instant messaging app), where the frequency that members can post is limited.

Groups are one of the main reasons people continue to use Facebook. There are currently "tens of millions of groups", which are managed by more than 70 million active admins and moderators worldwide, according to the company.

    Painel Admin Home

Facebook has implemented a new management panel for its groups called Admin Home. It centralizes all administrative tools, settings, and resources in one place, as well as providing "pro tips" on how to manage the group using the tools deemed ideal.

Another functionality developed for group administrators is the automatic moderation of comments in communities, defining criteria. This way, the system will proactively do the moderation service instead of forcing administrators and moderators to be present to delete comments and posts.

In addition to the above, administrators will also be able to use criteria predefined by Facebook to help contain spam and manage conflicts.

    Launch and availability

The news implemented by Facebook should be present in all groups in the world in the coming weeks.
