Facebook starts testing posts with audios in the news feed

Last week, Facebook announced that it had dropped the idea of changing users' news feeds so that it would separate posts from friends from those made by news sites. In addition to not pleasing many users, the measure proved ineffective during the testing period.

The novelty of the time, according to TechCrunch, is that Facebook has started testing a new feature that should also generate repercussions. According to some users, the social network has started to enable audio posting directly in the news feed.

      • The 10 biggest social networks in 2022
      • Emoticons on the keyboard
The feature in question has been named "Voice Clips" and has already been confirmed by the social network as a new test exclusive to selected users. The option is appearing alongside other types of posts like check-in and recommendations.

The new type of post, which does not have a set audio time, is identified by a sound wave, and the user can listen to the audio before posting. Facebook mentions that it will not be possible to edit the audio after recording.

Facebook also says that the audio will open after the user gives Play, requiring that the device's screen be on and the Facebook application open.

The feature has started to be tested with some users in India, and we still don't have confirmation if the novelty will become a standard or even if it will reach other places.
