Konami Announces Skelattack, a Platform Game

You will probably remember, if you've lived through this era, where there were iconic games from Konami. These games have been missing for a long time, with no new releases. However, in recent years the game developer has promised to return to video games, however titles such as Metal Gear Survive and Contra: Rogue Corps have caused the company to fail so far in their releases.

Despite frustrating attempts to bring new games onto the market, the studio continues to try and Konami's latest attempt at gaming is Skelattack. It is an action-platformer game developed in partnership with Uzuka. In the title, the player will control a small skeleton called Skully, who aims to protect his home against hordes of humans that arrive to kidnap the village's elder skeleton and steal its spirit control magic.

Throughout Skelattack the player will face different challenges and will have to overcome arduous battles against "bosses" to be able to rescue the elder skeleton and ward off human greed for power.

    What is a Platform Game?

Platform games are part of a video game genre and action game subgenre. In platform games, the character is controlled by the player in a 2D scenario where he must cross barriers, platforms and face creatures. Usually the environment of the stages have very irregular terrain to make it difficult to complete.
