Microsoft begins testing version of Windows 10 that won't be released until 2020

Microsoft has started testing an update for Windows 10 that should be released in 2020. It is worth mentioning that it is not common for the company to test updates so far in advance, as the company releases two updates a year, and they are tested with members of the public.

Microsoft hasn't started testing its upcoming 2019 update, codenamed 19H2, but Microsoft Windows Insider boss Dona Sarkar points out that additional testing is needed for the new 2020 update.

Sarkar says that "some things we're working on in 20H1 require a longer wait time." The company didn't say what features will be in the 2010 update, but the company released the first beta for testers this week.

Microsoft is currently in the process of finalizing its next major Windows 10 update, which is expected to take place in April. The company is expected to release a version for testers in March, before it becomes more widely available for existing machines.

The Spring 2019 Update will include a new lightweight theme, Kaomoji support, a separation between Cortana and Windows, and a new built-in Office app.
