NASA is always forward looking. The latest news is that the Space Agency intends to take the internet beyond Earth. A selfie taken by the National Science Foundation's McMurdo Station team was broadcast to the international space station on November 20 that featured technology that aims to bring internet to the rest of the solar system.
In the image in question appear NASA engineers Mark Sinkiat, Peter Fetterer and Salem El-nimri (from left to right) along with a tribute to Vint Cerf, who collaborated in the development of this technology.

The new venture, named Disruption Tolerant, aims to use the internet in space without falling, since if there is an IP interruption, there is the possibility of storing data that allows online browsing until the connection is reestablished.
