    After a long wait, and even some doubt on the part of some, Microsoft finally made the purchase of ZeniMax Media official. The deal was completed on Tuesday (9) and now Microsoft has control over everything that was commanded by ZeniMax, including the giant Bethesda Softworks.

    Without further ado, pleasing many of its players, Microsoft has already taken advantage of the announcement to reveal that some of the upcoming games developed by Bethesda will be exclusive to PC and Xbox consoles.

    Celebrating the acquisition, Phil Spencer, the boss of the green side of the force, said he was honored to welcome the studios that are now under Microsoft's helm. Spencer made sure to name all eight studios and didn't spare praise, in addition to being excited about what's ahead.

    "It is an honor to welcome eight incredibly talented studios — Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios — and their passions for the global communities of the Xbox family. Now that everything is official, we can start working to deliver great games to everyone."

    Phil Spencer also stated "that Xbox consoles, PCs and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games", but did not confirm exclusivity for all upcoming games from the developer. Spencer even mentioned that "some titles will be exclusive", but made it clear that Bethesda will continue to work in the way it always has.

    "Gamers need to know that Xbox consoles, PCs and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some titles that in the future will be exclusive to Xbox and PC gamers. vitally important that they keep making games the way they always have."



    It is already confirmed that Deathloop and GhostWire: Tokyo will fulfill the temporary exclusivity on PlayStation that was guaranteed before the deal involving Microsoft, but future releases may only reach PC and Xbox consoles.
