    With premium design, long battery life and the essential functions of a smartwatch, the London Atrium ES265 promises to be a good smart watch option for those who don't want to pay a fortune, as the model can be found for less than R$ 400 in online retail.

    In order to verify that the premise is true, we test the device during the last few weeks and we answered if it is a match for the alternatives of the same price already on the market. Check out the review complete next.

    Design and Construction

    REVIEW: Atrio Londres is the smartwatch for those who want practicality and affordable price
    1,3″-inch screen has IPS technology and 240×240 resolution

    Measuring 43mm, an approximate size to the largest Apple Watchthe London Atrium starts surprising by the solidity it conveys: all finished in metal and glass, the watch weighs 50g and is built in one piece, which makes it feel even more solid on the wrist and contributes to water resistance (IP68).

    On the front of the smartwatch, the glass with curved edges and rounded corners surrounds the display screen. 1,3 " (240×240 pixels resolution IPS) and the interaction button, both touch sensitive. At the back, the heart monitoring sensors are below another glass part, where there are also some inscriptions from the manufacturer. In this region are also the charging pins, which by the way are very similar to those seen in other smartwatches.

    In general, the London Atrium pleases the eyes and wrist. Of course, looks are a matter of taste, but being objective, it's hard to find something that discredits the watch. Lobby: it's made with good materials, it's comfortable, thanks to the rubberized strap and, at least for me, it didn't feel heavy on the wrist — its weight, by the way, is practically the same do Apple Watch Series 5 of 44mm.

    REVIEW: Atrio Londres is the smartwatch for those who want practicality and affordable price
    The Atrio watch is made of aluminum, which pleases the eyes and wrist.

    Compared to popular models in the same price range, such as the Amazfit Bipthe London Atrium has a superior build quality, the only sin is that it does not offer so many color options, since it is only possible to buy it with the finish. black ou rose.

    Despite this, it is worth mentioning that the wristbands of the Lobby are practically the same as the Amazfit Bip, including the same dimensions and the same mechanism that secures the strap to the watch. Although this makes me suspect that it would be possible to use each other's bracelets, which would make the London Atrium much more customizable, it's not possible ensure that the exchange would be successful.

      The watch straps are the same size and have the same fit as the Amazfit Bip

    Finally, my only caveat regarding the construction of the smartwatch from Lobby it's the front glass. The manufacturer does not inform if it uses any type of risk protection on it--which, if you don't, make you much more prone to scratching. In just over two weeks with the watch on my wrist, I noticed that there are already superficial scratches on the glass.

    Although they are barely noticeable and do not interfere with the use of the watch, it is possible that, if there is really no protection against scratches on the glass, scratches deeper and visible appear in the future.

    Usability and functions

    REVIEW: Atrio Londres is the smartwatch for those who want practicality and affordable price
    Smartwatch interface is responsive and easy to use, but not very customizable

    O London Atrium uses its own system, but that doesn't stop it from offering the main features of a smartwatch. Through the 1,3” touchscreen and with IPS technology, the user navigates between the menus with simple gestures, being able to preview the notifications that are on the smartphone, the weather forecast, the battery status and connectivity of the watch, in addition to being able to access the menu with the other functions.

    Regarding these features, it is worth mentioning that the watch registers up to 5 physical activities: walking, running, cycling, indoor running (treadmill) and climbing. In order for the watch to record exercises, the user must access the physical activities menu, select the exercise to be performed, establish or not a goal (time or distance in kilometers) and start tracking.

      One of the four 'faces' of Atrio Londres

    On the follow-up screen, the watch displays information about distance, time, calories, steps and heart rate during the exercise, making it possible to pause ou to close the activity. As soon as the physical activity is finished or the pre-set goal is reached, the data is synchronized with the smartphone application, in the “Activity” tab.

    If the user wishes, it is also possible to access a Historical of physical exercises performed on the watch itself. To do this, just access the physical activities menu and go to the last item. In this regard, it is worth mentioning that, at least apparently, the Atrio watch does not have built-in GPS, which makes you depend on your smartphone to measure the distances covered in walks, runs and bike rides.

    Although the lack of the feature can be quite annoying for those with an eye on the watch, it is worth remembering that it is not common to have GPS integrated into smartwatches

    In addition to the direct tracking of the activities mentioned, the London Atrium also constantly records the steps taken by the user, establishing an estimate of calories and distance traveled based on the data of the pedometer. These numbers have their count reset every 24 hours and are displayed on the watch's home screens.

    And speaking of home screens, this is where one of the main disadvantages of the Atrio watch. This is because the model only has four “watchfaces”, each displaying a different combination of information, and it is not possible to customize them or download new faces on the internet, as is possible with watches from Samsung, Apple, Amazfit and others.

    Except for the lack of customization, it is worth mentioning that the system is well responsive. The watch reacts immediately to on-screen commands, without stuttering or stuttering, and has some additional functions, As:

    • Sleep monitoring: from 22 pm to 9 am, the watch monitors the wearer's movement patterns and estimates the hours of light sleep and deep sleep;
    • Sticky notes: You can create reminders with mobile app. At the set time, the smartwatch vibrates on the wrist and displays the set reminder. Once created, reminders can be reactivated from the smartwatch itself;
    • Heart monitoring: in addition to automatic monitoring during physical activities, it is possible to manually check the information by accessing the heart monitor. After measurement, user can also tap the center of the screen to check the measurement of the last 7 days;
    • Media controls: you can pause, fast forward and rewind the songs played on your smartphone. However, it is worth mentioning that when accessing the media controls while an activity is being monitored, it will be closed;
    • stopwatch;
    • Camera: accessing this function on the smartwatch opens a camera application on the smartphone and allows taking pictures from the watch by touching the screen;
    • Find smartphone: when selecting this function, the smartphone will start to ring;
    • Sedentary alert: from the mobile application, it is possible to set the smartwatch to notify you if you go beyond a number of hours without exercising;
    • Notifications: whenever the smartphone receives a new notification, the watch vibrates and displays a preview of the received notification. Applications capable of activating these alerts on the watch can be adjusted from the SW ATRIO application;
    • Weather forecast: the watch synchronizes with the application installed on the smartphone to display information about general weather conditions in the region;

    Although it is difficult to gauge the accuracy of the measurements performed, they seemed to me to be quite consistent throughout the testing period. Both the time, heart rate, steps and ambient temperature information were consistent with reality. However, that didn't stop me from having some problems with the London Atrium.

    REVIEW: Atrio Londres is the smartwatch for those who want practicality and affordable price
    The watch's language should follow the cell phone's, but that's not what happens

    Seemingly for no reason, the watch's language constantly and automatically changes to Croatian, partially compromising the understanding of the information displayed on the screen. More than once I tried restore the watch and reinstall the manufacturer's application, but it only took some time to synchronize and the watch again started to display the information in Croatian.

    Since the languages listed by the Lobby as supported by the watch are only English, Spanish and Spanish, I imagine the situation is caused by some bugs,, which may or may not reach units beyond what we received for testing. We hope that the solution will be presented soon in some software update, as although the clock system works fine, this is an error that compromises its usability quite a bit.

    Update: in a note, Atrio informed Techlifers that the issue involving automatic language change has already been analyzed and adjusted for the company. In practice, the watch should no longer have this type of failure if its firmware and smartphone app are properly installed. updated.

    Smartphone application

    REVIEW: Atrio Londres is the smartwatch for those who want practicality and affordable price
    Smartphone app promises integration with Google Fit, but it doesn't work

    As with most smartwatches, much of the watch configuration and the information produced by the sensors is accessible mainly from an application on the smartphone, in the case of Atrio watches, the SW ATRIO.

    Available to Android e iOS, the app facilitates the pairing of the smartwatch with the phone and exposes all the information collected by the watch (steps, calories, distance, sleep and heart rate) and allowing the user to configure other functionalities, such as Notifications and reminders.

    Despite having few menus and simple navigation, the app still requires some visual refinement. The graphics, for example, are simple and easy to understand, but their layout could be better, as well as the terms used in the application, which are not always the clearest. Fortunately, this is also easy to fix through a software update.

    Battery

    REVIEW: Atrio Londres is the smartwatch for those who want practicality and affordable price
    Atrio Londres battery lasted more than 10 days with average use

    with a battery of 180mAhthe London Atrium promises an autonomy of 5 days with average use and up to 20 days on standby. However, it is not difficult to surpass this mark: during the period I had the gadget, using it only as a watch and pedometer most of the time, the battery lasted more than twice as long. 15 days.

    No, you did not read it wrong. It's just that, as the gadget's screen is off most of the time and doesn't have a very high brightness - which even makes it difficult to read under sunlight - the smartwatch ends up being very economical, lasting much longer away from the socket. than other models with screens like this, that is, of the IPS LCD type.

    When I needed to recharge the watch, however, I didn't have any difficulties either: the charger for the London Atrium It's a kind of case that wraps around the body of the watch and has pins that connect to the golden dots on the back of the smartwatch. With a USB connector on the other end, you can plug it into basically any charger of taken

    Verdict: Worth it or not?

    REVIEW: Atrio Londres is the smartwatch for those who want practicality and affordable price
    Atrio smartwatch is a good choice for those looking for practicality and durability

    O London Atrium is a smartwatch for anyone who wants practicality, proof of this is its straight to the point system, long-lasting battery and solid construction. However, it's a shame that the software doesn't give the watch the place in the sun it deserves: the interface, for example, could have more customization options and the smartphone app could be better designed.

    Having made these improvements, which are fully possible through updates, the Lobby would certainly be a strong contender for the Amazfit Bip Lite, mainly because both have the same price range and the same features, with the advantage that the Atrio smartwatch has a more exquisite finish and look.

    For now, however, it is important to know that the London Atrium keeps the strengths mentioned and remains a good buy - if the user does not mind a system that is not customizable and is looking for a watch with good battery life, backlit screen (IPS LCD), robust construction and affordable price, even without GPS.

    If this is your request, it is worth remembering that the London Atrium can be found at prices ranging from R$ 349 e R$ 400, in stores such as Magazine Luiza and Americanas, in addition to the official Atrio store.
