After the internet took over the homes of Spaniards, services like Netflix and the Play globe have become applications of constant use. Those who suffered from this were the cable TV services, which had to reinvent themselves to remain competitive in the market, and thus the Claro TV Box. This service from Claro combines the best of pay TV channels with access to the main applications today.
subscription options
One of the coolest points that generate more options for users is the possibility of subscribing to the Claro TV Box without the need to have the company's broadband internet. That is, it is possible to use the internet service of the Vivo and sign the Claro TV Box, giving you greater choice and control over how much you will pay per month. There are currently two subscription options and the first one is the simplest, it only costs R$ 20,00 per month and basically gives access to the various applications installed on the device, such as the recently added Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Play globe, Premiere and many others. In addition to a few channels, such as Futura, Band, Senate TV and others.
There is also available the full subscription, so to speak, at the cost of R$ 79,90 a month. In addition to the applications already mentioned, there is a greater choice of channels, such as several of Globo Group: SporTV, multishow, Viva and others, in addition to movie and series channels, such as Warner, Sony, TNT and etc. I would say this is the best choice, even more so with some tools available through this module.
Features of Claro Box TV
O Claro TV Box, with the most expensive subscription, allows recording up to 10 hours of content to be watched at any time until a deadline, designated by the device itself. For example, just search for the desired channel, press the record button and that's it. The content will be saved on the device and can be watched from the beginning, no matter if it was at the end of the program when you gave the command. For example, you are flipping through the channels and you noticed that a movie or documentary is playing, just press the button, and then you will be able to watch it from the beginning peacefully at an opportune moment.
Also, there is the option to restart a program from the beginning, but I can't say that this works on all channels, as I had limited access to the channels on Claro TV Box. But even so, just having this option puts the user in greater control of what they are going through.
Device and Remote Control
The Claro Box TV device has a clean look with just one power button on its face, the other commands are all allocated on your remote control. The installation and update process is very simple: if you use wireless internet, the device will ask for the access data, then the subscriber's CPF and will download the latest version. After that, just start using it. On the back, in addition to the 12V power input, there is a network cable input, an HDMI, a USB and a digital audio connection.
Now, one of the things I liked most about the Claro TV Box it was your remote. It is large and has a series of shortcut buttons, such as the classic change channels, volume up and down, recording, audio change, subtitles and many others. This makes the device much easier to use.
One of the biggest highlights of Claro TV Box and its great differential is the microphone, which can be used to give voice commands. It recognizes simple instructions, for example: "open Netflix","go to GlobePlay","Bandeirantes” and so on.
Claro service
When I received the Claro TV Box, I promptly called Claro's central office to try to make a subscription. At first, it took more than 6 minutes to be served. When the attendant understood what my order was, he said he was going to transfer me to the responsible sector and I was knocked down. I called again, and once again I was waiting.
Then a citizen answered, already in a bad mood. When I explained what I wanted, her excitement seemed to sink even further. During the entire conversation, she showed immense dissatisfaction with being talking to me. I can't say if because of the time, it was already night, around 19 pm, or if because of the request. In the end, I ended up hanging up without signing anything, as she informed me of a fee of R$ 400,00, which does not exist on the site. Overall, the service was very bad. On the internet it is a little easier to sign up, you only need to select the option and enter the data.
Conclusion
Overall, the service provided by the Claro TV Box it is very good. With an image quality that can suit the resolution of the TV you have at home, with options ranging from HD (with a size of 720p) to Ultra HD (with a size of 2160p). In addition, it is ideal for those homes where the cable TV signal does not reach or if the TV is not Smart. The only thing I missed, thinking about those who don't have more modern TVs, are some very useful apps, like YouTube and the Spotify.
In addition, the price is fair for what is offered and the image and sound quality is very good. The only issue is that everything depends exclusively on the internet, which needs to be reasonably high and constant. I highly recommend Claro Box TV, and I hope that in the future they will add other applications, which have made it even more complete.
