    Review Moto X Force: the unbreakable smartphone
    A Motorola does not always take the fame of its innovations, but it is one of the most important manufacturers in the market. The company was one of the first to launch a waterproof and resistant cell phone with Defy; revolutionized the mid-end market with the Moto G; started the complete personalization of smartphones with Moto Maker and now brings a cell phone with unbreakable fabric on Moto X Force. The technology Shatterproof works, as countless videos prove. But this is not the only quality of the Strength, I spent the last few days with the device and these are my impressions:

    Layout and Finishing

    Review Moto X Force: the unbreakable smartphone
    A Motorola does not hide that the Moto X Force it was built to be strong. The company has already adopted “bulky” designs with the Moto Maxx, for example. The finish is metal, which goes from the edge on the back to half of the side, the division was stylish.

    The device has three customization options for the rear: leather, ballistic nylon or rubber. The grip is firm, but it's a bigger and heavier phone than I'm used to; the camera, flash and “Motorola” branding are right in the center.

    The power and volume buttons are well positioned on the right side. At the bottom, the input for the microUSB cable and at the top the headphone plug and the tray for chips and memory card.

    The front camera is on the top right and the flash is on the opposite side. In the center the speaker for calls. At the bottom are what appears to be two speaker outputs; actually, only one makes a sound, the other houses the microphone.

    Fabric

    Review Moto X Force: the unbreakable smartphone
    The great highlight of Moto X Force, the unbreakable fabric with technology ShatterShield Motorcycle. According to the manufacturer, it is crack and shatter proof. The cell phone has an integrated system, consisting of 5 layers designed to absorb impact and not break:

    • layer 1 – External lens: protective layer with special and resistant coating;
    • layer 2 – Integrated lens: designed to be more flexible than glass, but maintaining a high level of transparency;
    • layer 3 – Touch-sensitive double layer: added to ensure a more robust assembly and longer life;
    • layer 4 – AMOLED screen: it is flexible and capable of absorbing impacts;
    • layer 5 – Aluminum chassis: rigid base that provides support to the set.

    There is even a splash resistant coating. And proof that Motorola trusts its technology: the screen has 4 year warranty. And despite the many layers, the display is not “background”.

    In the tests we did during the launch event, the screen resisted. As the manufacturer itself points out, only the screen is resistant: the smartphone's finish ends up being very bruised and, contrary to what it may seem, the screen scratches, only with more difficulty.

    It's 5.4 inches and Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels, 540 dpi). AMOLED technology usually delivers super saturated colors, but the manufacturer has learned from the mistakes of the past and manages to deliver great fidelity of tones. The only color that comes out a little bit is white, which is slightly bluish.

    The brightness range is great. Adjusting to the minimum possible, the display really goes dark, allowing comfortable readings in dark environments, also adapting well under the sun.

    speed and performance

    Review Moto X Force: the unbreakable smartphone
    The processor Snapdragon 810 added to the 3 GB of RAM ensure optimal smartphone performance. There are 4 cores running at a frequency of 2 GHz and another 4 at 1,5 GHz. This same set has already been used in other Android devices and makes beautiful. There are rare times when reloading apps in multitasking is necessary and when they do they are very fast.

    A Adreno GPU 430 contributes to the animations being fluid and also guarantees power for any recent game on the platform. Another highlight is the internal capacity to 64GB storage, which can still be expanded by card microSD up to 2 TB. At no time did the cell phone let me down, with choking or locking; the only thing i noticed was a bigger warm up than i'm used to when using it with intensity.

    System

    Review Moto X Force: the unbreakable smartphone
    Motorola has included all of its software tricks No. Moto X Force. There aren't many, but they are useful. Android is pure, with the usual small changes: Motorola Migration, BR Apps, Connect and Moto.

    The "Motorcycle” brings together four functions: the Assist, which automates functions on the device according to the scenarios in which it is inserted; Share, which show features you can do with specific moves; Voz , which teaches you to dictate commands to the device; and Fabric, which shows you how you can interact with incoming notifications.

    It is possible to configure a custom phrase to wake you up and ask you to perform tasks like “Send WhatsApp”, “Post on Facebook”, among others. Contrary to my experience with the Moto X Play, it was easy for me to give commands; the biggest obstacle is usually the understanding of different names, like “Michelly” – to get around, just insert the “phonetic name” in the contact.

    With the app Connect, you can view and reply to messages and calls from your computer, with an extension for all major browsers.

    The Moto X Force is dual SIM and has 4G support. Operator management easy, Motorola has a system that identifies the operator of the number you will call and send messages to, indicating which is the best choice of use.

    Camera

    Review Moto X Force: the unbreakable smartphone
    Motorola seems to repeat the sensor of the Moto X Style. The rear camera has 21 megapixels, with dual 2-tone flash (ensuring more color balance of captured images), capable of recording 4K videos. THE front camera has 5 megapixels and also has an LED flash.

    In well-lit environments, the smartphone is capable of capturing beautiful images, with a good balance between colors and quickly. In indoor environments and less enlightened, the camera becomes inconsistent. There are times when the photos are very good and in others they are very noisy.

    The camera software is simple and could offer more manual controls. The most we can do is change focus and exposure manually, which gives us more control over the lighting in the photo. If you want to play around with ISO, white balance and other adjustments, you'll have to resort to a third-party app.

    Battery Life

    The smartphone has a battery of 3760 mAh and technology TurboCharger, able to recharge it quickly. With heavy use, browsing through 4G, taking pictures, listening to music and checking social networks, I reached one day of use, with 30% battery remaining. On days of normal use, he managed to get through the end of the night with 50% charge.

    The smartphone charges super fast. In about 2 hours it is possible to complete a charge. The device also has support for wireless chargers, which work by induction. The accessory needs to be purchased separately.

    Price and availability

    Review Moto X Force: the unbreakable smartphone
    O Moto X Force can be found on the Motorola website, costing from R$ 3.149,00. Pricing may vary depending on the customizations you choose. In some retail stores, such as Lojas Americanas, I found it for snacks R$ 3.499,00. At Magazine Luiza, it's for the same price, but paying by bank slip gives a good discount, reaching R$3.079,12.

    Conclusion

    As it is a top-of-the-line model, I imagined that the manufacturer would include a fingerprint reader on the device. Apparently, the news will be for another generation. Perhaps the costs would go up too much and this is still not an essential feature for users. More interior space and resistance technology really does look more interesting.

    O Moto X Force is not a cell phone for those who are looking style. It is a beautiful phone, but not as elegant as the LG G4, Galaxy S6, iPhone 6s, among others. It is also not a mobile for those looking for an exceptional camera.

    But for those who are looking for a high-end smartphone, with great battery life, performance, high quality screen, plenty of internal storage and endurance, this is the option.

    And here is my expectation for the ShatterShield technology to evolve and expand to other lines.
