Stranger Things-themed Windows 1.11 is released by Microsoft

A while ago rumors were circulating about what would be the "back in time" made by Microsoft behind Windows social networks. Finally, the meaning of the riddle was revealed by the software developer.

The operating system developer company launched an application on its store, Microsoft Store, called Windows 1.11, which brought back the nostalgic experience of seeing again the screens of the operating system officially released by Microsoft in 1985, with some differences. .

Of course, the launch of the app mentioned above is not actually the updated 1985 operating system, but a joke created in partnership with Netflix to create a game involving the OS and the Stranger Things series. Inside the game you can find several easter eggs and mysteries related to the series created by the movie and series streaming company. These features can be seen in the app's description:

"With it, you'll be able to explore the mysteries and secrets that plague Hawkins, unlock exclusive series content and surprises, and gain access to era games and puzzles — all built around the Stranger Things season 3 universe.

Join Eleven, Steve, Dustin and the gang as they try to save Hawkins and the world. But be warned: beware of the Mind Flayer."

For those who want to have nostalgic experiences with the old version of the Windows operating system from 1985, Microsoft has released a theme to install on Windows 10, called Windows Throwback (suggestive, no?), which has numerous references to the first Windows and the 80's. .

In addition to these two surprises mentioned above, the Xbox division also wanted to participate in the fun and will hold a draw for a Stranger Things-themed arcade-style game stature along with an Xbox One X (the company's top-of-the-line console)

However, to the dismay of the Spaniards, the Windows 1.11 app is currently not available for the Spain region on the Microsoft Store. But if your PC's location record is in the US, you can download it. Windows retro themes can be found in the Microsoft store normally.
