This past Sunday, Twitch streamer Ben "DrLupo" Lupo announced that he raised more than $2 million on Saturday for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This fundraiser is part of the pro player initiative called "Build Against Cancer" and has proved once again to be a success in its third edition.

— DrLupo (@DrLupo) December 20, 2020Build Against Cancer has been taking place since 2018 and is an event in which DrLupo broadcasts for 24 uninterrupted hours in search of raising as much as possible to contribute to cancer research. The broadcast this year began on the 19th (Friday) and featured notable appearances such as Jordan Fisher, Robbie Amell, Mark Hoppus, Felicia Day, among many more. The streamer played several popular games during its broadcast, such as Fall Guys, Among Us and Minecraft.
In the final moments of DrLupo's 24-hour live, with just 1 hour to go, it looked like the streamer wouldn't hit his goal of $2 million in collections imposed by him. However, similar to last year, Twitch appeared in the final minutes of the broadcast and contributed $1 million to Build Against Cancer. Ben didn't know this was going to happen and was very emotional when the announcement and donation from the streaming platform took place.

In total, adding up the three editions of Build Against Cancer, DrLupo has already managed to raise almost US$10 million. In the check sent by Twitch to DrLupo to surprise him, there was, in addition to the amount donated, an easter egg showing the amount that the pro player had been able to raise in the past.
Players show once again how united the gaming community can be
