It's been some time since Ubisoft announced its new Rainbow Six, a title that will be focused on cooperation between players and will escape the characteristics that fans of the franchise are used to. With the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the entire world drastically and putting virtually everyone in quarantine, the title of the next game in the franchise may not be very pleasant given the current situation.
Likely name change
Knowing that Rainbow Six Quarantine isn't the right name for a game released at this point, Ubisoft feels it might be better to change the title to something that doesn't directly resemble the problem plaguing the world.
At an investor conference, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that the publisher is indeed considering changing the game's name, but stated that there are no new titles to announce yet.
