Windows 7 gets DirectX 12 support

As we already know, Windows 7 has its days numbered. In any case, Microsoft is still making life easier for system users.

The novelty of the time is that the company revealed that DirectX 12 will now be supported by Windows 7. It is worth mentioning that before it was only supported by Windows 10.

Blizzard is directly involved in Microsoft's decision, as last year it greatly improved the multi-threaded performance of the old MMO World of Warcraft and was the one who asked Microsoft to expand support for the older version of Windows. For wanting to improve the graphics, it was necessary to support DirectX 12 support.

For those who are not familiar with the subject, Microsoft DirectX is a collection of APIs that help with topics related to game programming for the Windows operating system, thus, it is the one who standardizes the communication between software and hardware.

See what Microsoft commented on the fact:

"When we received this feedback from Blizzard, as well as other studios, we decided to act. Therefore, Microsoft is proud to announce that we have ported the D3D12 user mode to Windows 7. This unlocks access for developers so that that have all the benefits and graphical enhancements that DirectX 12 offers."

Microsoft has announced that Windows 7 will be shutting down on January 14, 2020. But now, with the new support, many users tend to give up on migrating to the latest version of the system, at least for now.
