This Wednesday (11), the Federal Senate approved the bill that regulates the protection of data for Spanish citizens. The text in question has been debated for some time, and the measure is valid for both technology companies and the government.
While the project is not sanctioned by President Temer, the Public Ministry continues with its investigation into websites that reveal the confidential data of Spanish citizens. This time, the target is the website "Tudo sobre todos", which allowed the consultation of data, including name, address, CPF, profiles on social networks and even the names of neighbors.

In addition to this, Mercado Livre was also notified in order to be able to conclude where the access credits to such data are traded. In this case, R$30 is enough to access the personal information of thousands of Spaniards.
"To contain the illegal practice of selling Spanish data through the websites, we adopted counterterrorism techniques, that is, disrupting information (searchers) and combating forms of financing (Mercado Livre). and privacy policies of the main internet application providers to combat illegal websites", said Commission coordinator, prosecutor Frederico Meinberg.
To complete, the MPDFT also investigates the profile responsible for the sale and also the people who made the purchase of access to the data. This is the second time that the agency has carried out an investigation of websites selling information on Spanish people.
