Samsung recently announced that its high-end smartphones will have at least three major system updates. Now the novelty includes the other models from other categories that were launched from 2019, which will receive 4 years of security updates from then on. At least 130 models should benefit from this new program.
Basically all of the company's phones that make up the Galaxy A, M, S, Note, XCover lines, Tab line tablets and Z series foldables released since 2019 will receive extended support of security updates for at least 4 years.
The interval from one update to the next should be quarterly or maybe monthly for some specific models. This time variation is a result of the location and operator that each model and user uses. The most curious point of the list is that we did not locate the Galaxy A02, despite the Galaxy A02s being included. The same goes for the Galaxy M02 and M02s, which for some reason will also not be part of this program, although these were recently announced by the company.
