Earlier this month, during Samsung's product announcement event, Galaxy Unpacked, there was the launch of the third generation of South Korean foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip 3. After seeing the improvements made in these new smartphones, it can be seen that there were no major changes in the general structure compared to their predecessors. However, the company doesn't intend to stagnate and recently showed off a phone with an amazing two fold points on the screen!
During the IMID 2021 2021 (International Meeting for Information Displays) event, Samsung demonstrated a foldable phone prototype that features a single screen with two folding points, giving the equivalent of just over 3 normal smartphone screens together. However, it is likely that the fold is similar to the mechanism that we have already seen in other versions of the Galaxy Z Fold line.
Samsung has plans for displays with a foldable screen
If you've been following the news about Samsung, you've probably read that the company is considering launching other products with foldable displays. The video shown above shows us the various possibilities that exist for using folds on increasingly larger screens. It is believed that sooner or later a tablet with the same technology will also be demonstrated, something discovered in Samsung's patent filings.
