After weeks of speculation, Samsung finally revealed the Galaxy A8 and A8+ models for 2018. The announcement took place today (19) and confirmed the rumors about the South Korean's new smartphone.
The two devices fit into the Premium intermediate category and brought some features belonging to the Galaxy S8, such as the Infinity Display, the device's screen also occupies almost the entire front of the device, eliminating the Home button and making the edges thinner. .

Although most users prefer the biometric sensor on the front, Samsung decided to insist and took it to the back of the A8, below the camera. The cell phone's body remains in metal and glass, while the display has the same aspect ratio as the S8, being 18,5:9, prioritizing multimedia content.
Both devices feature two front cameras, so you can switch between the two to capture the best photo. The first camera is used for close-ups, the second is better for capturing landscapes and the background. The device also has the Live Focus option, which allows adjustments to be made before or after the click, creating unique photos. Samsung still promises high quality photos in low light conditions. For video recording, the cameras have digital image stabilization and hyperlapse function.

The differences between the devices are very few, and are related to screen size, battery capacity and the possibility of 6GB of RAM in the case of the A8+. The similarities between A8 and A8+ are in the IP68 certification, against water and dust, fast charging technology Fast Charging via USB-C and the optimization of both devices for virtual reality from the Gear VR.
The Galaxy A8 and A8+ 2018 line devices will be sold from January 2018 and will be available in black, orchid gray (grey), gold and blue. Prices have only been confirmed in Europe, and are €499 for the A8 (2018) and €599 for the A8+ (2018).
In Spain there is still no confirmation, but if the device arrives here, it can be expected to be after February.
