Soon, Facebook users will be able to delete interaction history with websites and apps

We already know that some websites and apps associated with Facebook were collecting user data without authorization. The novelty is that users will have the opportunity to erase all history involving such acts.

As per CNBC, Facebook CFO David Wehner confirmed that the social network is developing a way to launch a way for users to clear their interaction history with websites and apps. The novelty is expected to arrive in 2019.

It is worth mentioning that the feature had been promised by Mark Zuckerberg at last year's F8 conference, however, so far, nothing new has emerged.

Soon, Facebook users will be able to delete interaction history with websites and apps.

The owner of Facebook, at the time, said that users will be able to access through the new tool the applications and websites in which they interacted, being possible to clean all the information related to the registry. The intention is also to be able to disable the storage of such information in future accesses.

Zuckerberg also says that those who choose to disable storage may have their experience within the platform harmed. "When you clear your cookies in your browser, it can make your experiences worse. You might have to log back in to every website, and you might have to reconfigure your stuff. The same will be true here. Your Facebook won't be as good as you relearn your preferences", mentions Zuckerberg.

Even if there is some harm to users, the measure is highly anticipated by everyone on the social network, as it will provide greater freedom of decision within the social network.
