According to the live stream made by IGN, Valve will use an 800p resolution screen that has a 60Hz refresh rate. The company's goal is to reach around 30 FPS in games and it is believed that the Steam Deck should be able to deliver a smoother experience to the player even without having a great graphic quality.

The question is, would the Steam Deck be a handheld PC or a portable console like Nintendo's Switch? In addition to the aforementioned capacity for Valve's handheld, it was also said that the M.2 2230 SSDs used in the Steam Deck will not be soldered to your board. That is, everything indicates that it will be possible to increase the storage capacity of the portable PC on its own instead of depending on the company for this.

Valve hardware engineer Yazan Aldehayyat, during the interview with IGN, says:

"Repairability is something we've really focused on and tried to make it as repairable as possible. But it's really aimed at people who know what they're doing and have experience doing it."

Taking into account the above, maybe some users choose to use a microSD card to store more games instead of changing the SSD due to the possible difficulty in performing the procedure.

In the Steam Deck specs it still says that the M.2 SSD is "not intended for end-user replacement". However, it is very likely that this will not prevent many people from venturing out to make the replacement, although this may end up voiding the warranty.
