Again? Instagram is down and does not let users complete login

Following the routine, this Monday (2), Instagram again presented flaws and did not allow users to complete login. Hundreds of users took to Twitter to report the issue, which made the hashtag #InstagramDown be among the most talked about topics in the country. While the issue affected many people, some reported that their account was working normally, which makes it difficult to conclude on the cause of the failure.

    Instagram suffers instability this Monday

In the vast majority of cases, users of the social network reported that when they tried to log in to their account, a message saying that "the app has limited the frequency with which you can perform certain actions" appeared on the screen. In other situations, this message was displayed when the user tried to perform common actions on the platform, such as liking a photo, publishing a story or even while browsing the feed. The situation scared the crowd who thought their account had been hacked.

Downdetector, a platform that analyzes the functioning of online services in real time, showed a peak of 453 notifications at 17:39 pm. The significant drop in the chart occurred around 19:09. Among the most reported issues are "general failure", "sharing" and "upload".

Users outside Spain were also affected.

In addition to Spain, users in the United States were also affected. According to Downdetector, notifications reached 5.901 in the country. The history provided by the site shows that Instagram has routinely gone down. In June, for example, Instagram went down seven times, and in July, there were three, one of them being highlighted as general instability.

The network appears to have faced even more problems in the United States.

    What does Instagram say?

Questioned by Techlifers, the network's spokesperson issued the statement:

"We know that some people are having trouble posting and viewing content on Instagram. We are working to get everything back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience."
