Galaxy A72 4G has new details revealed about its camera setup

We've been hearing a lot about Samsung's new mid-range models lately. Practically every day there is new information about some detail of one of the expected smartphones of the Galaxy A and M family. This time, for example, the Galaxy A72 4G has, what seems to be, its official configuration revealed. Much of what had been speculated so far is apparently confirmed now.

The information comes from the German blog WinFuture, which released specific details of the Galaxy A72 4G. The only divergence of information from previous rumors is related to the device's camera configuration. We know that the device will carry a package of four sensors, the main one being 64 megapixels, accompanied by a 12 megapixel ultrawide, and what was believed to be two more 5 megapixel lenses for macro and depth, was actually denied, as the source reveals the presence of an 8 megapixel for telephoto with 2x zoom, and a 2 megapixel macro to close the package.

What to expect from the Galaxy A72 4G?

The Galaxy A72 4G apparently retains all the settings that were previously speculated, except for the camera setup as already mentioned. This smartphone will have a virtually identical sibling, but with 5G support, which makes the 4G version more affordable.

On the screen, the A72 4G should carry a 6,7-inch Super AMOLED FullHD+ panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, which in turn has a small cutout at the top center to house the 32-megapixel front camera, as confirmed computer-rendered images.

Under the hood, the processor installed is the Snapdragon 720G, which according to Geekbench will be supported by 8GB of RAM. The source also claims that a model with 6GB of RAM should also be offered. For internal storage, we will have the options with 128 or 256GB, with support for expansion via microSD card if necessary.

In the rest, the Galaxy A72 4G will have an IP67 rating, which guarantees water and dust resistance, an Android 11 operating system from the factory and a 5.000 mAh battery, which, according to the FCC certification, has support for loads of up to 25W. Apparently, in addition to the charger included in the box, Samsung maintains the USB-C port and P2 connector for headphones.
