The most relevant factor is that the developer was able to identify the system on which the watch is being developed, indicating the basis of Wear OS, and not Tizen OS, a system produced by Samsung itself. This information joins so many others aired on the network, that Samsung is really working on a totally new watch, and with the intention of abandoning the proprietary system.
The device nicknamed "Merlot" has already been mentioned before alongside the current Galaxy Watch 3 and gave the first signs of appearance.
