O Instagram announced a trio of news for its users. The first of these is that it will now be possible post photos and videos via computer. But in addition, the company announced other surprises that should benefit content creators in particular, such as the option to two users collaborate and receive the same number of likes for the same post. Finally, there will also be a change in the Reels song subtitles.

Instagram will allow you to post directly from the PC
After 11 years, starting next Thursday (21), Instagram will allow the long-awaited feature of posting photos and videos from the desktop. An update must be made on this date, and it should benefit users of any browser, as well as who uses the desktop application which is available for Windows 10 and 11.
For those who work with professional photo and video editing, the novelty should promote more agility and efficiency when publishing works that are usually edited by computer. It is worth noting, however, that in the case of videos, the time limit is one minute. In addition, it will not be possible, at least for now, to publish stories and Reels from the computer, only from the cell phone.

Instagram Collabs: accounts that share likes
The platform also announced the Collabs mode, a sharing posts that guarantees the same number of views, likes and comments for two accounts. This means that content creators can be identified as co-authors of a particular post from companies and influencers, ensuring the same return from the audience.
The feature can be activated by the user himself when publishing the post. Just select the option "tag people", and invite another account to co-author the post by selecting the "Invite a collaborator". Only one user can be marked as a co-author of the post.

On Twitter, Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, said that the novelty meets a need for users who find unofficial ways to insert credits to a co-author.
"We see more and more people doing this on their own, and we're excited to make improvements through this tool."
