No flip camera! Galaxy A82 appears in images showing off its supposed design

Samsung announced the Galaxy A80 in 2019, and one of the main highlights of this model was its camera that had a flip mechanism, which made it possible to use the same camera configuration for photos and videos as well as for selfies. Since then, many rumors involving a potential successor to the line have been aired on the network, and now, the first impressions of this guy reveal that the company no longer has the same initial ambition.

The Galaxy A82 may even be a sequel in name, but its design already displays a distinctive pattern. The device that will also be called Galaxy Quantum 2 in South Korea, appeared in some images revealing what we can call the official design, as we have the device box and the model itself being compared to the Galaxy S21 Plus. What to expect from the Galaxy A82?

Still without a concrete opinion from Samsung, what we know about the Galaxy A82 comes from sources that suggest, speculate or have any information related to the company. In none of them is the presence of the flip camera confirmed. What has been speculated around the device involves a 6,7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD + resolution.

As everything indicates that the device will not have any retractable mechanism, Samsung must grant IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. The rear camera should feature Sony's IMX686 sensor with 64MP resolution and OIS stabilization.

In the spec package it is possible that we have the Snapdragon 855+ processor under the hood, or maybe the Snapdragon 860. Either way, it will have at its disposal a configuration of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery must be one with a capacity of 4.500 mAh and support for loads up to 25W, although the included charger must be a 15W.

Whether these settings will be confirmed and whether it will in fact be announced outside the Asian market, only time will tell. There's no release date yet, although that doesn't seem to be far off.
