No Note 21! Samsung will announce Galaxy S21 FE in August

Samsung announced yesterday its new smartphones Galaxy A52, A52 5G and A72, and after the launch, the well-known informant Evan Blass from the Voice portal, published a kind of roadmap that will be part of the launch program of the South Korean giant over the course of the months of 2021. The three devices launched yesterday are on the list and show what will be the next products to be announced for the technological market.

The most curious point of all this lineup is the confirmation that we probably won't have a Galaxy Note model released this year. As said yesterday (18), the crisis in the semiconductor market made Samsung reassess the conditions for the development and launch of the Note 21 line, which in addition to the best sellers, is also one of the company's most expensive series.

    Samsung releases for 2021

After the arrival of the three new members of the Galaxy A family, the insider revealed that the next release of the South Korean giant will be the Galaxy S7 Lite tablet, a device that should be announced in mid-June this year.

Following, the Galaxy A22 should be announced in July. This could become the most affordable 5G-enabled smartphone in Samsung's portfolio. Currently, this title belongs to the Galaxy A32, a device announced in January this year. The A22 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, and according to rumors, it will sport a four-camera setup on its rear, with 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP.

Also in July, the Galaxy A82 5G should appear with an innovative camera system, which consists of a "dual-use" camera, that is, a single lens will be used for both the front and rear camera. We still don't know if it will be some kind of flip or rotating mechanism, but this is the information that rumors have been airing about the device on the net.

The most curious factor, however, is when we arrive in August. Confirming the information that the company is considering skipping the launch of the Galaxy Note this year, insider Evan Blass says that in the eighth month of 2021 we will have the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE. According to him, the release date will be August 19.

Despite the likely delay of the launch of the Galaxy Note to next year due to lack of components, Samsung does not seem to face this type of problem with the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition. We can conclude then, that compared to the Note this is a much more affordable model with potentially greater demand, and therefore the official announcement should be kept.

What to expect from the Galaxy S21 FE?

With the intention of pleasing its fans with a modern device, with a distinctive design and robust hardware, Samsung should announce the Galaxy S21 FE. Although the datasheet is not identical to the Galaxy S21 already launched in January this year, opting for the S21 FE should be considered for those looking for a high-end device at a more affordable price.

From what is known, the device should arrive with a 6,5-inch Full HD+ screen, basically an average between the S21 with 6,2 inches and the S21+ with 6,7 inches. Also, the refresh rate must be 120Hz, but no HDR support.

Rumors point to the Exynos 2100 chipset, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, plus 128 or 256 GB of memory and probably without the option of expansion via microSD card. The Galaxy S21 FE should also arrive with a 4800mAh battery with support for 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, and apparently, the charger will not be included in the box. The camera setup must be the same as the Galaxy S20 FE. The speculated price is US$780 (about R$4.335 in current direct conversion).
