Samsung will no longer provide updates for the Galaxy S6 family

Samsung will no longer provide updates for the Galaxy S6 family

Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S9 lineup, which arrived with powerful specs. With that, the previous models ended up getting old. The novelty of the time is that Samsung announced through a publication on its official blog that it is ending support for the Galaxy S6 line.

As per disclosure, the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus will no longer receive system updates. The devices were launched in 2015 and since then they have been getting updates with new versions of Android and security packages. However, just three years later the company decided to finalize updates to the models.
