On Monday (16), one of Alphabet's subsidiaries called X announced the expansion of Project Wings, in which the company tests the use of drones to deliver parcels.
AX, Google's sister company, has been experimenting in Australia for a few years, and since the beginning of 2016, when a delivery was made at Virginia Tech University, the company has also opened the tests to the general public.

People who joined the test group could reach the end consumer faster through the air. For this, it is only necessary to use a specific Project Wings application and place the orders.
Since yesterday (16), the initiative began to count on the participation of a Mexican food chain called Guzman Y Gomez and also with the Chemist Warehouse pharmacy chain.
"We will dispatch our drones to pick up the order from our partners' loading locations and then transport and deliver the orders to testers at their homes," X said in a statement.
"The information we gather from these two test partners will help us build a system so companies of all kinds can focus on what they're good at — like making food or helping people feel healthier — rather than being distracted by complicated delivery logistics," adds X.
