Several rumors about Gmail appeared a few days ago, the expectation was that it would be released soon. It ended up happening. The novelty was officially presented by Google, full of news, such as Material Design, Artificial Intelligence and even new security modes.
Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence is present in several tools in the technological world. In Gmail, Smart Replies will also arrive for the desktop version. Google says that more than 10% of email replies made via smartphone are from the feature, for that reason, it was also applied in this update.
Confidential mode
The novelty adds features that allow the email sender to select an expiration time for the message that has been sent. In this way, the email can be sent with an expiration date, in which all the content will be deleted depending on the time that the person has stipulated.

Two Factor Authentication
To ensure greater security, Google has implemented a two-factor authentication mode, so a code is sent via SMS.
With IRM protection, emails with the option applied cannot be sent to other addresses as well as downloaded, nor can a screenshot be taken. Google says such features will "protect your data even if the recipient's email account has been invalid".
Offline mode
Users will be able to use offline mode for when they are away from data networks or even offline. With this, it is possible to write and answer emails without internet, as well as search for messages of up to 90 days.
All features will be accessible by Gmail users, but with some caveats. The functionality will initially be available to G Suite users, with an option to "Try the new Gmail" displayed in the settings. Some regular users will also have access to the new Gmail, however, at random.
Google said that in the coming weeks the novelty will be available to all users.
