Today Google started updates on its developer page, Developer.Android.com, referencing Android 11.
Unfortunately, all linked pages show information about Android 10. Probably the page wasn't even supposed to appear to the public. After all, usually only developers access the Developer site.
However, the information still needs to be updated, including the list of changes present in Android 11 and the page to register devices.
So far, none of the other text on the page has been updated - references to it working with "any Pixel device" aside from privacy, foldables, and Vulkan features are reminiscent of Android 10.
Requests to register Pixels for preview still point to the Android 10 BETA program which is currently closed.
But the presence of the page could indicate that the release of the first BETA version for developers of Android 11 is near, although it is early taking into account last year's schedule.
[Update]
It is equally possible that someone was preparing the page and published it by mistake, the probability of this having happened is high since the link to the page now shows information about Android 10 again.
Whatever the explanation, it seems that Google is already preparing everything to open registration for the first BETA of Android 11. Google has not commented on the change. The solution is to wait and see how much longer it will take for the page to come back online.
One thing is for sure, after Android 10 and now Android 11, we will no longer have candy names in the next versions of Android.
