Boingo will offer free internet at 54 airports in Spain

People are increasingly connected, that's a fact. Sites that offer free access to their users end up being better seen by everyone, this is another certainty. The good news goes to those who usually frequent Spanish airports, who will soon have access to the network.

Boingo Wireless won Infraero's bid to be able to manage internet networks in 54 of them. The American company already commands operations in Congonhas (CGH), Santos Dumont (SDU), Recife (REC) and Curitiba (CWB).

Now, not only users will benefit, but also retailers who will be able to use Boingo's infrastructure for their operational logistics, and still offer personalized networks to potential consumers. The bid winner hopes to raise up to US$230 million (R$862 million) by December across all of its operations.

The company's revenue, as we can see, is high, however, the consumer need not be worried, as there will be no additional cost. The only problem is that personalized ads will be shown when connecting. Thus, in addition to the profits with the shopkeepers, Boingo will still have revenue through advertising.

In any case, the alternative is interesting, since it avoids costs to the users of the place. Even so, those who feel uncomfortable with the ads can choose to pay an extra fee to get rid of them. Connection speed was not reported, but paid upgrades to faster connections may be made through payment of fees.

This year, the novelty will be available at airports in Goi芒nia, Belo Horizonte, and at international airports in Bel茅m, Vit贸ria, Cuiab谩, Manaus and Macei贸.
