Chrome will block entire website if it displays abusive ads

Google is stepping up its fight against abusive internet ads, so Chrome 71 will block every ad on a site that shows it persistently. Abusive ads come in many forms, and they cause the browser to misbehave and even generate fake system messages, automatically redirecting or trying to steal personal information.

It's worth mentioning that this isn't the first time Google has tried to use Chrome to resolve this issue. In July, Chrome 68 started to prevent websites from opening new tabs or windows if they were reported to offer abusive experiences.

Chrome will block entire website if it displays abusive ads. This is yet another attempt to stop the spread of fake news.

Chrome 71, due for release in December, will give site owners a 30-day grace period to clean up their site after an abusive experience is reported.

Even though users have the option to disable the filter, most should leave the settings at their default values, retaining a portion of a flagged site's revenue. This is a huge incentive for sites to avoid misbehavior, even with Google's uncomfortable reminder.

As we can see, another attempt to end the fake news circulating on the web. Many companies are investing to try to minimize the problem.

The company's forecast is that Chrome 71 will be released in December.
