Google Chrome receives emergency update to prevent attacks

Chrome received a "Zero-Day" update this morning from Monday (14) to Tuesday (15). Google has released Chrome Update 98.0.4758.102 for Windows, Mac and Linux to fix a high severity vulnerability used in attacks. This is the first update made available by the browser in 2022 and serves to prevent attacks.

Google says in its released security advisory:

"Google is aware of reports that an exploit exists for CVE-2022-0609."

    How to update Google Chrome

Although the browser should refresh automatically at some point, it is possible to perform the procedure automatically. Just click on the vertical "..." in the upper right corner of Chrome, go to "Help" and click "About Google Chrome". Once this is done, the browser will check for new updates and install them the next time the browser is opened again.
