Google One: Google makes automatic backup free for everyone

With Google One, Google brought paid plans for premium support, expanded storage (up to 100GB), family sharing, and automatic backup of your Android devices.

But now, Google is making automatic smartphone data backup available for free to everyone, including iPhone users.

You won't need to use Google One's paid plan to take advantage of your smartphone's data backup, in fact you don't even need an Android smartphone.

On iPhone, for example, you can download the Google One app for iOS and back up your photos, videos, contacts and calendar events with Google, although it's not automatic (at least not yet) for iPhone users. .

Google One does free data backup for everyone, even on the free plan.

On Android, the Google One app will allow you to automatically store your backup in the cloud, free of charge. Google One takes standard Android backup data (texts, contacts and apps) and adds original quality photos, videos and MMS messages.

Whether you're on iPhone or Android, the only limitation is your Google Storage by default has 15GB of free space.

In addition to automatic backup, Google is introducing Storage Manager and releasing this feature as well. Storage Manager will show you how much space you're using in Drive, Gmail, and Photos and see exactly what's taking up so much space.

If you need to free up space, Storage Manager will also help. Of course, if you need more cloud storage, you can always upgrade the service to a paid Google One account.

The lowest plan is US$2 (R$6,99) per month. The Google One app is now available on Android and will be coming to iOS soon.
