    Google releases the Files Go app to manage storage on your smartphone

      This Tuesday (05), Google, after spending a month testing the beta version of the Files Go application, released the official version of the tool that aims to assist in the organization and management of files intelligently on the smartphone.

      According to the company, the app uses an approach focused on freeing up space on mobile devices, as well as helping to find files more quickly and facilitating sharing with others.

      In tests carried out, users can save 1 GB of storage space and when sharing files with other people, they do not use any data, through a feature of the tool that allows sharing offline, performing the transmission. via WiFi.



      Caesar Sengupta, Vice President of Google's Next Billion Users team in a statement about the application, said "With the increasing number of images, videos, apps and documents that accumulate, everything ends up becoming a mess: it is difficult to find the you need it when you need it most, and your smartphone slows down and starts crashing. We all end up at that point where we have to choose what to save and what to delete."

      App Files Go assists users in various tasks and takes up only 6 MB of space. With the app installed, the user starts to receive information regarding which files to delete, such as applications that are no longer used, files that are duplicated, memes and low resolution videos detected using Mobile Vision technology, for release of space.



      It makes finding files easier, since the app makes use of smart filters to automatically organize images, videos, documents, apps, so that the user can find their files faster.

      To backup to the cloud, simply select the "Files" menu and then back it up to Google Drive, or another cloud storage app of your choice. In addition, as previously mentioned, the user can share files offline, just bring the smartphone closer to the other smartphone to which the file is to be transferred and do so without using mobile data.
