Google removes videos of conspiracy theories from YouTube Kids

YouTube Kids was launched in 2015, being designed to be a version of the platform full of content for children, therefore, free of inappropriate videos for minors.

However, over time we realized that the company has been failing in its purpose and some inappropriate content ends up appearing for the little ones.

Now, after the episodes of videos leaked on the children's platform, Google is again having to deal with a new case. Now, conspiracy theory clips are making the rounds on the platform. As a result, the company has already started testing an Artificial Intelligence that aims to contain such videos.

According to some users, videos that show that man has never been to the moon, that a UFO was shot down by NASA and even that the Florida shooting was a setup by Trump, are appearing as video suggestions for children.

David Icke, the conspiracy theorist, had several videos posted on the YouTube Kids app. In one he states that the Earth is controlled by hybrid beings that are part reptile and part human.

Several parents, when it appeared that such videos were emerging as options for their children, ended up complaining to Google, which has already blocked 25 of them and several channels.

There is little care when it comes to children and the internet. Therefore, even if it is a platform considered reliable, parents need to be aware.
