The fault appears to have started around 13pm on Tuesday.a, when the first complaints began to be aired on the network. Also according to user reports, Google Drive was taking too long to open a certain folder stored in the cloud, and Google Meet would not allow users to join a meeting that was already happening.
Downdetector, a service that monitors the operation of services on the internet in real time, detected that the problem particularly affected Spanish capitals, such as SĂŁo Paulo, Curitiba, Porto Alegre and BrasĂlia. Every hour, more than 250 complaints were reported to the platform.
Other users took to social media to report problems on social media, such as Twitter, a platform that is commonly used to share memes and other jokes about instability in third-party services. Although the subject did not appear on Twitter's Trending Topics, as it has in previous failures, users wasted no time in taking a "cone" of the situation.

[Update] Google fixed the problem
According to Google, the problem originated from a failure in the "Cloud Router" of the Google Cloud platform, which serves the South American continent. The platform is the basis of all services offered by the company in the region.
From 14 pm (Brasilia time), the company released a note saying that all services were being re-established.
"We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue," Google said.
