Asus recently announced the launch of new WiFi 6E routers, the ZenWiFi Pro ET12 and ZenWiFi ET8 WiFi-6E. The information came through the guru3d website, where it is reported that the Taiwanese company has launched new solutions for the new Wi-fi 6E standard, including, in addition to the aforementioned, the Asus PCE-AXE58BT PCIe Wi-Fi adapter.
The Asus ZenWiFi Pro ET12 router features a tri-band system (2,4GHz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz) and is capable of delivering up to 110000 Mbps with a coverage of up to 550 square meters. In addition, the device still supports the new 160Mhz channel on the 5,9Ghz frequency, which expands the 5Ghz band.
In the ZenWiFi ET8 we have a pair of routers that offer speeds of up to 6600 Mbps. The set offers up to seven 160 Mhz channels, considerably increasing the data transmission capacity.
When we go to the Asus PCE-AXE58BT PCIe WiFi adapter, we have a transmission capacity of up to 2401 Mbps in the 6 Ghz and 5 Ghz band, as well as 574 Mbps in the 2,4 Ghz band.
What advantages do Wi-Fi 6E routers bring compared to Wi-Fi 6?
The great advantage of Wi-fi 6E routers over Wi-fi 6 is the use of the 6Ghz band. The letter "E" in Wi-fi 6E means extension and means that every router with this standard will work not only with 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies (Wifi 5 and Wi-fi 6), but also with the 6Ghz band. That is, Wi-Fi 6E routers are tri-band. To learn more about the new Wi-Fi standard and what the differences are compared to the previous ones, visit our article here.
